Show Us Your Motors!

I actually have a real problem with folks that think they are above the law and don't need to be identifiable by reg like everybody else.
Sure, your car looks nicer without a plate on it. My bank balance would look nicer too if I didn't have to pay taxes but just like reg plates, you have to.

My point is that someone could genuinely have stolen the plate and used it in crime!

In such case I agree that does need to be addressed.

How is it being petty? I didn't create the law... You like the look of it, I get that, it doesn't make it less illegal though, hence the fines.

I watched a CH4 documentary recently where ANPR was used to spot when and where a murderer was driving whilst hiding a dead body. Guess which plate it used? Front :) Thanks to that they were able to locate the body.

Exception that proves the rule.

Look I'm not suggesting people do away with front numberplates to "stick it to the man" - but frankly, I find it less of an issue than mobile phone usage, speeding in town centres/past schools, and poorly maintained cars and a whole plethora of other driving issues, like driving with no insurance and without a licence etc....

I used to have my front number plate inside the windscreen for well over 6 months and you could read it fine, I then go a stuck on one (still illegal) as the plinth was ugly.

But there are people who decat their cars, who would fail their MOT, but place the cat back on, or just have a "friendly" MOTer. Isn't that just as bad?

How are you going to identify those people breaking the law when they are not displaying a reg plate? Putting it behind the raked glass windscreen makes it considerably more difficult to read, that's why it's illegal.

Got myself an E46 M3, my first ever M car and i love it. Really clean example, not the cleanest out there but they are much more money so happy medium for me on that front. Most important thing for me was service history is all there and running in, inspection 1 and 2's done at the correct time, with very recent inspection 2 and not near moon mileage (84k). Also Subframe is crack free :D.

nice m3, they still look modern and the smg gearbox is sublime i love the kick it gives you, it really feels wrong like its about to blow itself to pieces

it often does :D would not put me off e46 tho, I'm considering one after the z4 as I do love them.

Coupe + imola red/phoenix yellow or laguna seca blue! :o

Or, you know, that other colour... *clicks fingers*, what was it? Ah, yeah - the actual best colour E46.

Estoril.
It's not a specific E46 M3 colour though. Pheonix/Laguna are M3 only colours! I much prefer Interlagos Blue myself. Only made between 2004 and 2006, so rarer.
