Don't really see the point in bench-marking a res that a single card simply cannot run. Even 2 of any of those cards with 100% scaling would only be borderline playable in most of those titles.

Don't really see the point in bench-marking a res that a single card simply cannot run. Even 2 of any of those cards with 100% scaling would only be borderline playable in most of those titles.

It is not really about gaming it is about what the cards are capable of.

No one games on Heaven 4 but it is still a very good guide for GPU performance.

What is really interesting from those 8k benches is how close the Vega 64 gets to NVidia's top card, if there had been a GTX 1080 in the mix it would not have got close as the Titan Xp is nearly 50% faster at those resolutions.

Anyway this is the Vega 64 owners thread so back to the red team.

It can vary a bit from game to game, so it may not always be as high as what i have in Dirt 4 above.

Never heard of any Radeon OSD, but that is HWINFO64 Rivatuner OSD.

Nice pics.

They're certainly hot little buggers.

I got to pipe up and say its really not that noisy imo but then I'm a battle hardened ex-2900xt owner and my machine sits in a closet so any minor noise isnt heard.

I like that Vega has various profiles. I tried one extreme, the alt bios and with power saving. 33c idle, 50c in game and 700rpm fan is definitely very relaxed. Not the best fps but fine for older games which i do play.

The thing I really want now is the other extreme. I'm not saying I'll use it but I want 100% fan [can set the min for fan really high so that part is simple] and all the most extreme setting, I dont see an easy way to stick it at the top and leave it there. Is it always automatically adjusting itself. The only way I can hear the fan normally is using furmark, doesnt rev up otherwise. I'll be much happier when afterburner works with this card

Outside of using the bloatware both AMD and Nvidia have turned their drivers into the isn't really any way to tell in game what you're using, aside from Borderlands/Metro titles.

Well I can tell you it's not perceivably different from a '16 Titan X which is basically the same card with more RAM, does that help?

(obviously you can tell a difference via benchmarks or an FPS counter but it doesn't really feel any different).

All good so far, I game at 1440P, can't tell any difference in game. We know the 1080 Ti gets a higher max FPS, but for the money VEGA is an impressive alternative.

Can def recommend this card at the price I paid £469.

Can anyone share a picture of their card bios switch in the primary position. There still isn't any manuals etc online for these cards yet.

Left is default bios, normal performance and push the switch to the right for the lower wattage setup or alternate bios.

Left is the exhaust grill end of the card. Right is the end pointing towards the power cables for the card. You want the switch to the left most of the time
