The RX Vega 56 Owners Thread

Hey guys

Anyone getting stuttering and fps drops in game?

Happening in overwatch, I'm getting well over 120 fps but then will suddenly drop to about 30-40.

This is with a fresh windows install. Running a R5 1600 @ 4.0Ghz, 16gb @ 2400, 650w corsair psu.

Do you have enhanced sync enabled by any chance?

looks like it can push 54amps 648watts on the rail like mine so that shouldnt be the problem, are you overclcoking by anychance if so have you tried with the balanced profile or the power saver profile. do you get the same issues? worth a try i suppose if not.

I have been loving my little vega, wacked it in haven't done any tweeking what so ever. Seems to be a good 50% or more faster than my old RX480 in the limited games I have played. To be honest its similar to my ref 480 in terms of noise etc as well. I have also had 0 issues with this card on x399.

I'm getting like stuttering/freezing and slow down quite often even when playing videos like on the BBC news.

I think I'm going to have to RMA.

Try and disable hardware acceleration in your browser, think that's a bug atm.if your are talking about everywhere it sounds like core clocks aren't stable.

I am getting some of that as well, not a massive amount but it seems to hang for a second or two on certain types of media in websites.
Turned off acceleration in chrome which cured it until the bug is fixed.
