The premium they pay is for the "support" . People who buy stock PC's don't have the know how to fix them. I used to build everyone I knew PC's to give them a better performance for their money but you end up being technical support/ after sales for them all too. Given up on that now, build my own and tell everyone else to buy from Dell/ other.
Wouldn't surprise me if AT got it right, can't see what they could have done wrong tbh. The difference in results will be down to everything previously mentioned, pseudo stock cooler on Intel parts, full and complete spectre patching, running PB2 correctly, stock RAM speeds etc. Remove an one of those factors the results will change.
