Intel Meltdown and Specter fixes hampering Intel's gaming performance?

For comparison my 1600 @ 3.8ghz 3200c14 Ram with a 2025mhz 1080ti will do:

130.32fps average, 159.2 max for the Valley section of the ROTTR bench in DX12
110.29fps average, 165.38max, DX11

At 1080p High settings, FXAA.

ROTTR

Only have a 1080 Ti so that will have to be close enough. I used one of the cards.

1080p FXAA high settings. 8700k.

Fully patched BIOS and I'm running Windows 10 Spring Update 1803 (17133.1)

Anandtech is full of crap and needs to run all of the benchmarks again.

Mountain Peak? the slide says Valley. now i see how you got to your conclusions, i'll say it again, you're running a different benchmark.

Not a fair comparison anyway as it's a 1080 Ti vs a 1080. I'm just benching my system as is so the only thing running faster than stock is the CPU which is 4.7ghz on all cores, RAM is 3ghz which is stock, GPU is a founders edition which is also stock.

Even at stock CPU speeds there's going to be little in it.

Just out of my own interest in this.... the game is installed on a mechanical drive so ignore those minimums they are a symptom of mechanical drive load stutter.

Other than that i'm pretty much stock GTX 1070 bound in the this rather than overclocked Ryzen 1600.

Nice minimums

A better CPU benchmark in ROTTR is to load the Remnant Village in the Geothermal Valley.

Thats the area I am talking about which I recorded during the test. I was testing that area to see the difference between DX11 and DX12. Its known to be very taxing on both GPUs and CPUs,and is the area Digital Foundry tests.

The in-game benchmark I don't find that reliable since over several runs it can show weird numbers.
