Diablo 3 came out over 6 years ago.. not sure that's really too soon even by blizzards standards!

Huh?? to soon? Diablo 3 came out around 2010 I'm sure of it, cant be arsed to Google search. It's more than 5 years put it that way. How is that to soon? Plenty of games out there on a yearly update release schedule. Some big triple AAA game release a new version ever 2 years. Diablo 3 is a massive game, 5+ years we been playing D3 now.

D1 was 1997
D2 was 2000
D3 was 2012
Which by my maths, means we'll get D4 in about 2048

Diablo 3 took so long for reasons that are publicly known for quite some time. There was recently a short video clip from the diablo team letting the community know that there are projects currently in development and with no new content for 5 seasons now an announcement wouldn’t be too crazy to expect at blizzcon this year. Even if it is announced it’ll be quite some time until we can play it!

Blizzard have been hiring people for a new Diablo project. We just don't know what it is yet.

I do miss the excitement of new items and builds every season, there was a period where 2-3 seasons in a row were fantastic. Theoretically PoE offers this but I just can't get used to the mechanics and flow of the game.

Blizzcon in game goodies announced and there’s quite a bit of diablo stuff this year, a skin for overwatch, a classic diablo figurine compared to last year I’m definitely expecting something big being announced.
Diablofans also seem to think something big is coming.

so i watched the first Blizzcon pre-show thing on twitch last night and i don't think a second went by without a 'D4' or 'Diablo 4' being mentioned in the chat so its pretty obvious what people want, Blizzard just have to listen...
