Hi, so I am looking at building a pc for streaming console games.
I currently have a keyboard, mouse & monitor for the setup.

I have been told about the following spec for around £570. I wanted to know if anybody could present a better spec for a similar price and explain any pro & cons of the spec.

Case - Thermaltake core v21 - £44.16
Processor - Skylake i5-6500/3.2ghz - £223.87
Motherboard - Gigabyte H110 Micro ATX - £50.37
RAM - HyperX Fury DDR4 4GB - £23
Storage - I've got a spare 500GB 860EVO
Power Supply - Corsair CX450 - £45
OS - Windows 10 - £24
Capture Card - Elgato HD60 Pro - £160

Thank you in advance,
Alex

I would increase the RAM to 8GB, 16GB if you can stretch your budget, apart from that it should be fine, the Elgato HD60 Pro does onboard encoding so you should be OK with the onboard graphics.

4GB is barely enough for Wintoys10 itself.
I'm sure streaming software and software of capture card want little more than left overs.

And AMD has 4 core/8 thread APU for lot less than that grossly overpriced, soon four years old and constantly groving performance nibbling security patch collection needing, four core Intel.

Just checked and it looks like the case only supports ATX PSU up to 220mm and Micro-ATX boards up to 22.6cm x 18cm.

The motherboard is ATX Form Factor; 30.5cm x 24.4cm
Yep, i know, it's a bugger that case. Orbi, was probably rushed as he would have noticed normally (i was giving him time to edit).

Mobo is itx

PSU is 140mm if I recall

Capture card is itx length :)

Itx is 170x 170.

Built and spec Vega 64 Windforce at 280mm and 140mm PSU in that case :)

If PSU is over 150mm you have to use ITX based Cards at 170mm , if PSU is shorter or SFX/l the. Can have max GPU/card length of 280mm

I'd like to start by thanking you all for taking the time to reply to my thread. I have ordered the spec Orbi mentioned and placed it on a Sunday DPD delivery so hopefully it all gets picked for delivery tomorrow.
I haven't built a pc in close to 14 years so forgive me for asking but will all the components be delivered with the required cables, screws, washers etc or should I look at buying these?
I have a set of precision screwdrivers and a decent work space. Any other recommendations?
Thank you once again.
Alex

TBH, i added confusion - it was all, Orbi.

Yep, screws come with case and cables, IO shield with motherboard, screws/lead with PSU - you shouldn't need to buy anything with the spec above.

*You may need an HDMI cable for GPU card if you haven't got one?

No I do appreciate it Plec, you asked the questions I wouldn't have so at the very least Orbi just confirmed it.
No doubt I'll be back on Sunday asking for help during the build.
Cheers,
Alex

One of us is usually lurking and it's a straight forward build - plus, Orbi has experience with the case which is always a bonus with a smaller build environment (cable management).

This video - Clicky - should help familiarise you with the build process using that case - skip the first 15 minutes as he waffles on before getting on with the build.

Hi Gents, thank you for all your help with this. Hopefully 1 final question, why would the pc not boot if the 2 front USB ports are in use? Laptop, mouse, USB microphone headphones all cause the same issue. However, if I remove them then it boots without fail. The ports work once the PC boots and I then use the ports with any of the devices. If I turn the pc off with them in use and restart it then it won't boot.
Thank you in advance.

What's the boot order in the BIOS?

If it's set to USB as the first bootable device (since 10 install?) it may be confusing the process with both ports filled.
