For the Gigabyte probably for most people, for the ASRock not so much, it seemed in his judgment ASRock have struck a pretty good balance when it comes to cost (of the parts).

Tbf that's what I'd do if I were a motherboard manufacturer. Chucking a few quid at some redundant regulators on high end boards seems like a good plan when it's all 90% of the enthusiast internet talks about.
No frills, no nonsense motherboards seem to have died a death in the 8 years I've been off the upgrade wagon. The RGB thing looks similar, LEDs are so cheap they're basically free, so if people will pay extra for a Christmas tree then why not?

X470 Taichi was a 12 phase I believe, so yes, almost certainly.

According to this Ryzen 3000 should be good for 4000MHz ram.

Interesting the Taichi isn't ideal for 2 Ram sticks and will prefer 4 sticks. I wasn't planning 4 sticks.

As a side note CyberPunk 2077 demo system used 32Gb of ram. So from next year we may need more ram.
