Tbf that's what I'd do if I were a motherboard manufacturer. Chucking a few quid at some redundant regulators on high end boards seems like a good plan when it's all 90% of the enthusiast internet talks about.
No frills, no nonsense motherboards seem to have died a death in the 8 years I've been off the upgrade wagon. The RGB thing looks similar, LEDs are so cheap they're basically free, so if people will pay extra for a Christmas tree then why not?

Depends all on how noisey those chipset fans are going to be for me.

It's one of the main reasons the Aorus Extreme seems so appealing - proper passive cooling.

Otherwise, either the Aorus Master or Taichi depending on price.

I've only ever use Asus boards, but the Asus-tax is getting silly.
