Interesting, potential for another iteration with an improved IO die maybe?
Papermaster said that the IO die is now what's limiting the performance, and a new IO die is what's required to make another jump in performance. He also said that the next IO die will include PCIe 5.0 and a new memory controller complex, suggesting DDR5 - no surprises there right?
Ultimately this means there won't be another big leap in performance on the current socket/motherboards, but we might see a slight bump here or there.
