Nope, Gauff didn't challenge. The line judge called the shot out and the umpire immediately overruled saying it was good. Halep then challenged and the ball was indeed in. Gauff thought she should have won the point but the umpire said no because the call out and his overruling interfered with Halep's shot so they replayed the point

A lot of the commentators and former pros have said the balls are much slower this year which is favouring the clay court specialists.

Nadal certainly looks as good on grass as he has for a while and a lot of players have got in to the second week that perhaps weren't expected to.
Interesting. Maybe this is why Halep is looking stronger on grass this year? Some really good defensive skills by Halep in the first set against Gauff.

Ah ok, thanks. So the hawkeye was just shown for audience's benefit, but no challenge?

Konta should be winning the next round (Barbora Strycova). It's the semis where she'd probably get flattened by Serena.

Just the small matter of winning this one first. :p
