Hard not to think advances in sports science and a better understanding of the stress the game puts on a players body has played a large role in prolonging their careers.

They've all changed the way they approach the game over the years, whether it's by changes to their diets, adapting their on court games and/or cherry picking the tournaments they play.

John McEnroe said this on the BBC last night, when he was playing it was him and a trainer, now players have a team of trainers, nutritionists, mental health coaches etc etc to allow them to stay at the top for longer.

They even commented on the fact that 14 of the 16 in the last 16 are 27 or older and how experience plays a major part in todays play.
