So I purchased the LG 34GK950F, Gigabyte have really dropped the ball on this one! The lack of anything concise has really put me off.

First impression of the LG is excellent, the Jayztwocents video where he hugged it sold it for me and at its current price was just about affordable. If you can stretch to it guys, go for it!

Agreed, a good monitor like that can last you 5yrs+ :)

Same. At this point a 43in 4k/120hz screen would be perfect for my uses, and I'd game using a 3840x1600 Ultrawide aspect (with borders). Best of all worlds

It's crazy when you think about it but as I keep telling people, it's my one vice! Just need to get the old X34 shifted now and I can buy some more lovelies! :D

I'm like Gollum with the one ring over my PC

I am also after a new 27' 144hz+ 1440p monitor and there seem to be quite a few using the same panel, the Pixio and Acer's seem to be the cheapest (the Acer is £399 at Overclockers). Are there any benefits to the LG or Gigabyte ones? I know that Gigabyte does 3 year warranty, but I am not paying £140 extra for an extra year warranty only. The Viewsonic is not out in the UK as far as I can see.

Only difference in spec between the FI27Q and FI27Q-P is the DP version (1.2/1.4) which means a higher bitrate.

This allows HBR3 in the -P panel.

I might grab a few units but I don't think any official, Gigabyte supported UK suppliers will list them in the short term.

I'll keep asking the question about grabbing a few panels from Gigabyte for those that want the HBR3

Specs below:

Is there any updates on the FI27Q-P I am interest in it, just before I go buy another monitor

Got it today: https://imgur.com/KVXulWP
Just set it up and tried in few games. For now, I deffinitly got more lucky than with normal FI27Q when it comes to IPS glow. It is visible, but doesn't cover such a big area as it was the case on FI27Q.

In two days I should get LG 27GL850 so I will be able to compare them side to side and settle once and for all on one of them.

Nice work. Should be interesting to see the side by side results

Is it even worth paying so much for the P model? 700€ is a lot of money for something that should be the same cost as the non-P variant.
HDR is useless on those monitors anyway and 10 bit color at 144Hz (and 165) works just fine on the normal FI27Q.

Hello everyone, I have the normal FI, and I am delighted with it, fluid, and with a few adjustments the saturation and brightness is not noticeable and everything looks natural. You can ask me the questions you want;). However, this comment of the 10 bits in the FI (not q) caught my attention, how can you put it with 10 bits? In my panel nvidia does not offer me the possibility of 10 bits, neither with RGB, nor with YCBR442 or 444. Greetings

What are your impressions of the display even if you haven't had time to compare against the LG?

I got the LG the day after. I'm leaning towards LG more and will decide in a day. I will write a detailed overview of my experiences with them tomorrow or Tuesday.
