I saw a relatively small audience, by small i mean still 2,000 average viewers, but nothing like the 50,000 some get, she got $1,000 from someone, then $100 from someone else. All along with the $10 here and there, and then there is all the subscribers which pops up one about 5mins for the duration of the entire stream. She was only talking at the time, and not even those Hot Tubs streams. Fulling clothed with a massive blanket sitting in front of her PC.
I know someone who used to work in OCUK is a full time streamer and has been for a while, he's doing very well.
I wouldn't say it is doing nothing, I think it takes time and effort to do that, nobody starts out with an audience and when there is no one in the chat, it is difficult to make things interesting.
You may have a point. There's another girl I used to watch, she started by streaming Skyrim and now mostly streams Fortnite. Her audience has dwindled to about 17/18 people per stream now from a max of about 40. Even though she's pretty, she's doesn't do much apart from play Fortnite, and it gets very dull to watch after a while because nothing happens. That said, she has some cult followers who will regularly donate a few hundred dollars to her, so she's probably doing OK.
I think that's one of the things about Twitch, unlike Youtube, it's not just about followers but donations. And I imagine that's where the bulk of the cash is. Twitch encourages them with gift subs, hype trains etc.

Being pretty only get you so far if you are just sitting there, there are a few girls who are keep popping up on the front page on Twitch, they get like 2k to like 5k. They don't talk much apart from reading comments.
There is one Korean American girl call Codemiko or something, she was working full time until covid hit and lost her job, being from a VFX background she made a computer character of herself, with face tracking software and started streaming with that character. She openly admits having ADHD so her topics goes widly from one to another and actually is quite entertaining because you never know what she is going to say and i don't think she knows what she's going to say half the time. She interviews other Twitch Streamers reguarly and actually had a few famous ones on there, including Pokemae?
But she has got big quite quickly, lately she has hired more coders and put her character in a GTA5 environment and on the corners there is a few sponsors logos. I won't be surprised if she is making 6 figures a month.

I saw some YouTube videos of hers and as you said she is very entertaining. Certainly not what I would call a 'typical' female streamer.
Codemiko is amazing, she's genuinely really funny and entertaining and one of the very few that deserves are success because she's put some real work into her videos.

One of the times she got banned from Twitch was because of a joke. The joke is that her character is holding a mobile. If you donate a dollar and the mobile sill do a picture of a D. So the joke is “donate a dollar for a D pic”
apparently it’s against twitch rules to sell D pics! Even for the letter D!
So that’s why now it’s showing a letter P, Short for you know what. But that’s fine.

One of my fav videos of hers was when Technician (Mikos Operator) was trying to convince her chat she had a real boyfriend and she called him.. Yeah maybe staged, maybe not but it was very amusing. One of the few streamers that are fun to watch and you can appreciate she puts effort into what she does. The sensor suit she actually wears and the tech she uses for her facial recognition/mapping is really expensive. I believe she got the suit at halfish price and that cost her $12,000 
Yeah, it can get insane, the original subject of this thread has apparently been able to turn her following into $1million a month from OnlyFans... the recent Eat the Rich/OK boomer girl has a $2million apartment.
Though the distribution is very very skewed, there are so many out there putting out content and earning barely anything, probs not a big drama on say twitch, if someone's starts streaming but only a handful of people watch and they don't make anything then... meh, they were going to play the videogames anyway. But the OnlyFans girls posting rather intimate stuff and then earning naff all is probably a fair bit more demoralising.

edit 2 - damn... I think OnlyFans was ridiculously lucrative for her, start of 2020 (just before the pandemic) her company had like 600k in the bank, 1 year later it had 10 million in the bank!
