Guess whether it's true or not?

At my last job I was given a hire car, a ticket from Dover to France and sent on my way from Portsmouth to France to turn something off and off again. I enjoyed expensed dinners and everything.

I’m guessing that you’re shining us on, but if not, were they two separate jobs, one Dover to France,
the other Portsmouth to France?
Turning something off and off again , did you mean off and on again, or on and off?

Oops meant off and on :p

No it was one job! From Portsmouth to France via Dover's car ferries.

Life’s too short to argue the toss, but when I was trucking to Europe from U.K., I’d use P & O Ferries from Dover to Calais or Boulogne, D.F.D.S. (I think), from Dover to Zeebrugge, and Brittany Ferries from Portsmouth to Le Havre.
