My plan is to have a windows 11 installation solely for gaming and windows 10 for everything else initially and switching to linux at some point.

TPM is the stuff of nightmares and anyone can see where it will lead eventually.

Maybe with a hardware TPM, but not at the moment it seems with a cpu tpm - my virtualbox Win 11 install does not recognise the cpu tpm on my 3700X

I have this feeling the CPU TPM will be hacked for gaming in due time. They always find a way.

I'm running Win11 in VMWare without issue, but don't think I will be moving to 11 anytime soon. The centred Start menu and softer looks don't bother me, I actually quite like the style in general, but I really don't like the dumbed down feel of the OS as a whole. The right click menus feel out of place to me, they feel like something ripped from a Linux distro.

Hello Sorry for intruding, but I need some advice does anyone know that if I buy a used TPM Module which is compatible with my motherboard and if it was not cleared or written back to an unused state if I connect the TPM Module to my motherboard can I use it or would it still be locked out or have I the ability to wipe it and start fresh. My M8 is selling one but he is looking £30 for it so before I buy it I would prefer to know before hand as I doubt I would be receiving a refund if it was locked and I had no way to access it. Any reply will be gravely appreciated and thank you to all who do in advance.

Cheers, I've had a load of driver push/pulls this week. I am unsure if my SSD is causing problems though I seem to have 2000 read 200 write I was getting 2000/1000 maybe it's just an SSD thing!

Be nice if they took the time to get things like that right first, then iterated on it throughout the OS design :s

Instead we get more and more dumbed down implementations missing a well-rounded feature set then they rush on to the next "cool" feature which all too often is one no one actually asked for, wanted or have a need for.
