South Park

Just because it’s satire, doesn’t mean it’s funny or even entertaining. They could do better than this.
I think it’s probably time for South Park to be put to rest now.

Social commentary has been part of South Park forever and the US is going through extraordinary times. They have something to say and people are still watching. Obviously not everyone is going to like what they have to say, I've quite enjoyed it, not the best on the whole but nowhere near the worst either.

The quality is so far off recently. I don’t need to be told that commentary is part of South Park, because I’ve watched it since it started. The show has changed a lot recently, and it is nowhere close to as funny as it used to be, and their "commentary" is just lazy.
I feel a lot of the people who would find the show good at the moment, are those who lean a specific way politically, and who perhaps aren’t long-time viewers of it.

South Park has been miles off it’s best for well over a decade tbh but I can’t help but notice that a lot of the criticism of this season seams to be coming from people who lean to the right. It’s not like I disagree with the sentiment that this season isn’t that funny. It’s just where was this energy the previous seasons when it was often equally unfunny ?

Hey, relax, buddy! :D

I think some of the tegridy farm stuff got tiring and the previous Garrison-Trump stuff occasionally a bit lame, but these last episodes are so far off where they have been in quality. I’m not sure I would agree at all that the last 10 years has been a decline in quality, there were far more good episodes than bad.
The Saddam-style Trump character could have been great, but everything seems so lazy. I’m assuming a different creative team in charge recently? Using the last episode as an example, the police chief just felt like a different character.

Where are you guys watching this these days? Miss it being on normal TV :(
Paramount+, sadly.

I have too many subscriptions, and the Paramount+ app is a bit flaky. But I can't be bothered getting it elsewhere.

Mind you, I tried to cancel it and they gave me three months for £4 a month so that's something.

Thought this may be the case and I am in exactly the same boat. Think I'm paying more in subs than I ever was for Sky at this point!

If you have a smart TV, or fire stick etc.. pluto TV app. It's free.

There's a south park channel that plays episodes from 9pm every day.

They also have a judge Judy channel... 24/7 lol
