I got this a few days ago as I wanted to try the new 3rd person view.

I've only just got to the base and a little bored as it seems a very slow game, does it pickup later on ie a bit more action or is it just boring quests?

There is quite a bit of exploration, and to be fair the vistas / graphics can be gorgeous at times. But the combat and quests do feel a bit slow paced throughout the game. My main gripe with the latest DLC is that the game doesn't always load via Steam.

Fellow #RTXON gamers rejoice, for dlss was already superior compared to native for many years, however, with the new m model and performance mode, not only is it leaving native in the dust but it is also better than dlss quality preset k. Not the DLC, only just got it before christmas, that and also replayed the main game since it got the patch before christmas too with all the lovely #RTX goodies like frame gen, ray reconstruction and then 3rd person view

Yup 3 packs in total now. Most recent came out in December there.

The first 2 I played are incredible and really add to the game (different biomes as well)

Apparently Ray Reconstruction on will force dlss back to version 4 as not supported with 4.5 yet.

Yup that's correct so for now in games with rr, better to hold of until rr gets updated too, hopefully will happen soon and not have to wait too long for the driver to come out of beta.
