I’ll give both a go and see which is better. I’m assuming I can stop new accounts being made? I’ve made my account (which I won’t use anyway) the owner and I chose locked down as the option for it. My card is on there for gamepass which makes me slightly nervous but looking around I can’t seem to see anything about it in their accounts.

Can you tell it’s been a while since I had a console in the house I know first hand now how techy kids are these days to try and bypass everything!

Great idea, never thought of that. Would be a lot easier and I can turn it on in the morning to download updates no problem. Cheers!

The issue with this is that plenty games are offline so those still playable

The Xbox family app is great for this. I've set max use per day along with hours its accessible. You can add time manually if needed in seconds. You can age restrict content and block comms too.

Ditched my Xbox for PS5 when my pre paid GP expired last year. Now my niece is pestering me to play Fortnite, she also knows I never say no to her so need to get back online. Can I just sub to live for a month like we used to do, or better still use a free one month code? (do they still even do them?). Im assuming Fortnite is still free? I've only played it a few times, with her brother a few years back. I hated it and was no good at it, obviously

You can get the xbox gold live thing which is cheaper and I'm sure monthly is doable. But why aren't you playing for night on your ps5? I'm sure it's cross platform

It's free to play online. No GP subscription required.

I looked on loaded the other day. Was around 130 for a year of ultimate. Not sure there is an option to get it much cheaper.

It's now £138 Quite ridiculous really. I got it for £125 and I'm now subscribed until July 2027. I may sack it off after that.

100 percent it will be possible to join a party on different consoles. This is fortnight

Yep not that easy in practice. I just paid £60 for 2 years of the lowest GP tier and will just buy the odd game like Arc and a few on sale so works out for me. Im finding I spend more time on Switch now anyway.

I've run into the I can't sign into Xbox live on my 360 anymore bug. Which also applies to XSX BC games.

I have a suspicion it might be because I'm getting GPU through EE, so will cancel that and see...

That if it still even works as i don't think it been used or powered up for around 10 years
