£550 for the dumbbells and £30 for the 3 year extended warranty. Can’t remember what the stand cost.

Saw these 40kg adjustable dumbbells for under £450 with a stand. 2.5kg increments. I'm tempted, especially as their office/distribution site is a 5 min detour on my normal commute https://muscleiq.co.uk/products/40kg-adjustable-dumbbell-pair-2kg-increments?variant=49911921803600
Not heard much on these, but will say that 2.5kg increments might not sound like much but is noticeable when trying to progress, especially on smaller exercises.

I had a set of powerblocks for years, and have upgraded to the assassin goods black adjustable 41kg pair, including stand, £665. I loved my powerblocks but the assassins are a clear step up.

Hi, is there anyone with a Mirafit M4 power rack near London, or at a station that can be travelled to from London, who is willing to let me check it out? Else will have to travel to Norwich to Mirafit. I am looking to see if hole spacing is suitable for me.

ps: No idea why a woman is the icon, as I registered as a male.

Your icon is default based on rank, as its your first post its the default bottom option. Its got nothing to do with your actual gender. its Gangster themed.

For dumbbell work, are there are any pros or cons for using a dumbbell bar with a 2" grip instead of 1"? I've been using 1" dumbbells alongside heavy barbell work at home but I need to move to 20KG+ per side and don't really want to buy any more 1" weights as I can always use the 2" weights with the barbell. I've also seen there are bars with 1" grips but 2" sleeves too. Any pointers for this scenario? Not sure which way to go.

Hello, I am after a cable pulley and looking for a bit of a steer. I have gym setup in garage and space is a bit of a premium. I have a Bodymax CF470 Half Rack. I don't think they make a pulley dedicated for this. At the mo I have just a very basic pulley I attach to the rack, something like this: https://mirafit.co.uk/mirafit-home-...O5CvjQkrs08sNwd4G5vZ4SgaAmOEEALw_wcB#465=7245

I can stick with that but find it a bit of a pain.

Any suggestions of compact pulley systems that don't take up a lot of space? Can have weight included but i have plenty of plates

thanks

I'm looking at setting up a home gym in a single integral garage once I move house. I've been looking at the mirafit m3 rack with a cable system:

Are there any better options for similar money? It is £850 for the M3 rack and the cable system together.

I just ordered a Mirafit M3 bar to replace the crappy one I have had for years. Hope it's decent. Anyone got one? Have a behemoth deadlift bar from them which i got a few months back and it was such a good upgrade compared to the one that came with my rack. Not sure why I stuck with a terrible bar so long!

I finally got my rack and I'm very impressed. The M200. Have to say it is a really solid piece of kit. My gym space is coming together nicely!

As a side note I am somewhat shocked by just how expensive fractional weight sets are!

New home gym stage 1 complete. Will figure out what to do with the walls when I have more time - lots to do with this new house.

Garage gym is nearly done now, had a ceiling with insulation added to the garage and put up some panelling to hide the breeze blocks.

That looks ace. Your flooring looks good. I cheaped out and used small tiles which are in a terrible state now. Where did you get the tiles?

Walls look good but I will stick with the cobwebs
