Lemon juice, ginger and honey in hot water was a winner. Pills seem ok. Now it's after hours the ginger+lemon will be getting a bit of whiskey, for science.
I have it on good authority (Captain Picard's aunt Adele) that the best remedy is ginger tea with honey at 80ºC.
Doesn't cure it for me, but does seem to make it a little more tolerable. I've not tried it with Cardassian virii yet.
...of jaeger back when I was a wee lad. That got me wondering: what would OcUK do when you're full of the dreaded lurgy? OH likes a bit of the lemon and ginger, some folk like rubbing mustard on themselves, what do you do? Are you a pinnacle of stoic perseverance and just rawdog the snot and...
...school punching bag.
Poor sod he had some physical disability, twisted spine or something.
Wasn't a week where he wasn't being abused.
Some ginger kid too constantly getting into fights, he grew up trained up as a bouncer bet he ended up taking out a lot of frustration on drunk Essex boys...
Yeah, I get that problem. The cats take over the bed at night. I usually wake up with something akin to early-onset-rigor mortis, bent in some weird shape that avoids the cats.
The funniest thing my two do is to follow me out when I take the bins out. I'm set back from the main road so I have to...
...disturbing them he get's out of bed and goes downstairs to sleep on the sofa. Now that's dedication!! His consolation is that usually their ginger tom (Ginge) goes down to cuddle up with him as he has become very attached to the husband. They go for a walk around the block most days with the...
...with heavy hearts, they've decided to put up for sale their truly one of a kind vehicle that the lucky buyer will cherish like it's their own ginger stepchild.
I don't anticipate it'll hang around long, so if I were anyone daft enough to be reading this, then beg, borrow or steal enough cash...
I can't remember the last time we had a racist issue in the UK, well England anyway, no idea what its like in Scotland. We seem to have replaced racism with disaster chanting.
Racism in many parts of europe is common place and largely accepted by far too many people. We obviously have issues in the UK but if this happened like it does in Spain there would be an absolute uproar.
Totally agree. This sort of thing was commonplace when I was a lad but you hear of it very, very rarely these days aside from the odd moron on Twitter. I don't think Italy is much better either yet English fans still remain the ginger step child of European football.
...Couple of pics of Oscar (tabby) and Smudge (tortie)
Pair of guard cats as I was leaving for work this morning:
And a couple of visitors to the garden.
I've always wanted a ginger cat, lol
This lil guy was super friendly and kept giving headbutts and nudges.
Not a cat, but still cute :)
...carrot, beansprouts, bit of chicken drumstick "fillets" (cheaper than thighs and similar taste/texture). No pic but pretty tasty.
Also picked up some spicy hotpot base for the next couple of days and the rest of the veg/chicken. Then some pork mince to make ginger/spring onion dumplings.
Ah that's a good idea on the individual packets. The big issue over here is crisps. You can't buy single packs so everything is big 200g bags and it's easy to put way too many into a bowl.
