The DW has the G-Sync module and the DWF is G-Sync compatible. Search both model numbers on Youtube and watch the reviews from Hardware Unboxed for a complete rundown.
Hah, I've pretty much done the same minus the Samsung TV. Had the 5800x3D since the spring though. Only ordered the AW3423DWF yesterday so it's a post Christmas delivery, will be my first experience of an ultrawide so looking forward to it.
Would make sense to wait and see how the performance of the 7900XT & XTX shape up compared to the 6950XT. Then you can make an informed decision based on this and the cost of all three cards.
I have the Trinity non-OC and experience no noticeable coil whine. The fans are also not loud at all on the default curve, 0 rpm below 40C-ish and then 30-50% under load. I'm only hitting 45-55C while gaming though, I did test the fans in Afterburner at 80-100% speed and they are very loud at...
Recommend having a play around with undervolting too. My Zotac Trinity non-OC chilling pretty nicely at 2730 Mhz @ 950mv. Can hit 2820Mhz @ stock settings but that's pulling 100w additional power!
Almost all of their PSU's have the Type-4 8-pin cables. HX, RM and AX series - SFF excluded. But yes definitely check compatibility here https://www.corsair.com/uk/en/psu-cable-compatibility .
Interestingly Corsair have brought out a 600W 12VHPWR cable for their existing power supplies that is just two 8-pins - https://www.corsair.com/uk/en/Categories/Products/Accessories-%7C-Parts/PC-Components/Power-Supplies/600W-PCIe-5-0-12VHPWR-Type-4-PSU-Power-Cable/p/CP-8920284
I recently picked up a Zotac Trinity non-OC and not experiencing any coil whine. Some people have commented on the noisy fans but fingers crossed I'm not noticing this at all yet. I'm only hitting 55C max temp in games/benchmarks though. I did crank the fans to 90-100% in Afterburner to test...
I think if you have NIS selected under Sharpening/Upscaling tab but not active it still shows under the benchmark in MWII. Native just means it's set at 0 so not active or scaling. Does this with the CAS sharpening as well even if you have it at 0% I believe.
Worth waiting I'd say. 6950xt will hopefully drop in price in the next 3-4 weeks. Saying that there's no guarantee the 7900's launch at £899 and £999 in the UK.
In the single player campaigns I've always cranked up all of the settings and targeted 60fps. Then turned everything down for multiplayer modes to push 200fps.
Call of Duty MWII released last week with zero RT, even though the previous three titles (2019-21) had support. Is this is a reflection of consumers priorities?
No I also used to use it and never had any issues, just that I'd seen reports of people being shadow banned and blaming it on iCue and/or Riva. I'm sure both are absolutely fine.
Maybe check any software you're running in the background? I've heard of people saying overlays like Riva tuner and iCue etc. got them shadow banned but they were probably just hacking and making excuses.
