    New build time!

Awesome thank you. I use ethernet but it's always good to have a backup option and onboard wifi will free up the pcie slot currently occupied by a redundant wifi card. A new SSD is on my list for near future upgrades anyway as my main ssd is currently sitting at 50% health in crystal disk info...

    Considering a new build.

My PSU is an 850w Seasonic that was massively overkill so has had pretty light use compared to what it was designed for. Doesn't show any signs of giving up the ghost any time soon. I'd be willing to stretch my budget for DDR5. Looking at around £600-£700 for the CPU/Mobo/RAM. In terms of...

    New build time!

I'll consider a better GPU in the future. What's important now is the CPU/MoBo/RAM. I'll probably quite enjoy using the 1060 without it being bottlenecked by a 3770k - I have low expectations :). In terms of noise, I can't move it much further away than it already is. I'm just looking to lower...

    New build time!

Hi all, I've been running the machine in my sig for the last 10 years and it's beginning to struggle quite significantly with gaming and I'm thinking it's time to replace the motherboard and cpu. I'm tempted to keep the 1060 for the time being. The other main use I have for the computer will...

    Considering a new build.

I don't really need to upgrade but I've had some money come through and my current pc has been on pretty much 24/7 for 10 years. It's no longer capable of holding a stable overclock. It's showing its age in gaming (but so am I). It's not compatible with windows 11. What are the trends nowadays...

*** The New Cases Gallery ***

Just built this for a friend of mine - excuse the gfx card, he just wants one to replace his ps3 when it dies so I thought my old one would do. I've left the plastic on the window for him to peel off, so it's kinda ruining the photo a bit. It's nothing compared to what some of you guys have...

    1060 or 970

So I bought the 1060 and have installed it today (as well as giving my pc a thorough going over with some compressed air) and it is working perfectly! I can't believe it's possible to max out GTA V for this kind of price, I can tell I'm going to be enjoying myself. Cheers for the help guys.

    1060 or 970

As the title suggests, I'm looking to upgrade my 660ti as its, after a remarkably good innings, starting to show its age a bit. My upper limit is around £250 and I'm looking for a card to last until I retire the cpu etc in a couple years time. Prior experience and gut instinct tells me to go for...

Lusting after a new case, am I mental?

Hey guys, I've currently got a really nice case - bitfenix ghost, and it's been serving me pretty well. I think it looks good, cable management and cooling is good and it has a nice host of ports on the front panel. But I really really want that white Silencio that's on the this week only...

    Alleged Apple 2014 Roadmap Leaked

They will have to pull something completely mind blowing out of the bag to convince me to be honest. I don't know, my watch is still powered by a spring so I'm probably not the target market.

    Alleged Apple 2014 Roadmap Leaked

I hope the Apple Watch isn't going to happen. Stupid bit of kit.

    External Drive for my Mac

They have both ports, we use them at work as transport drives (well the older versions anyway but we have had a few usb3/TB drives come through and they definitely have both).

    WD Caviar Black noise?

I think Seagates vary - my 2 tb one is loud when it seeks (one big click, it's worked fine other than this for 10,000 hours so far so not too worried about it), but my 1tb is as silent as any mechanical I've used.

    2013 Haswell Retina MacBook Pro...

Got mine today, the 2.3 GHz 15 inch. This thing is an absolute beast and the screen is awesome. I'm running it in the 1920x1200 mode and loving it! Glad I upgraded from my previous macbook 1,1 :) Opened a couple of quite heavy pro tools projects on it and it's barely breaking a sweat. This...
