Thanks for the reply guys, will look in to the adaptor, or a second hand card.
Don't think I'll be going for 1660, the cost of the card vs performance is just not there. I only very occasionally game now, so looking for something around the 6600/6650xt performance level.
Hi Guys,
This has probably been asked before, but whats the best graphics card you can buy brand new for under £200 with DVI port ? I run a monitor with DVI - 120hz.
Thank you
I assume the screws would just go directly through the middle fan ?! :S
Had no issues connecting 2 fans to ONE rad before ? So it would be like connecting two fans to each RAD, with screws just going through the 4 holes on the corners as normal. The screws join to the case?
Don't care...
Hi guys,
Silence for me is key, and I have basically already got an AIO cooler with 2 Akasa Blacks (can't remember the exact name) for my i5 that runs on the lowest fan setting perfectly. This is perfectly silent for me even at load.
Now I want to add to this by joining on the AIO cooler...
I've never heard of bearings in a graphics card "lightly splattering oil". Never really heard of "overlubed" bearings either  Oil should never splatter out of a graphics card.
This just seems to be a simple leak from faulty bearings. Maybe MSI are sourcing some copies from shengzhou...
AMD are really stepping up their marketing/product development ! Looking forward to getting my new AMD card (v. soon)
Wonder where all the usual nvidia fanboys/trolls are, this thread is rather peaceful :D
After doing a bit of research, the MSI reaches about 41 db - 10cm away from the card. http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/msi_radeon_r9_290x_gaming_oc_review,12.html
The Sapphire reaches around 40-42db 50cm away from the card...
Hi,
I read the sapphire was the quietest card in a review on an external website (under normal conditions i.e. no overclock)
Can you confirm this ? http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/radeon-r9-290-and-290x,review-32872-7.html
Just in the market for a 290 now, and want the quietest card. (Not...
Oh, I thought the Asus 290x was factory overclocked to 1115mhz, silly me :D
I shall be losing sleep over this tonight.
And no, not because you started the thread, but because you are what I described above in numerous posts.
Why didn't they review a factory overclocked 780ti vs a factory overclocked 290x ?
Is it because the Asus dcuii 780ti only boosts upto 1020mhz?
Some of you trolls are just plain stupid :D
