    Memory issues - hardware reserved

Yeah, appears slot two was broken. Gigabyte wanted £15 for courier charges to examine the board, but even though it was bought in March 2016, Amazon have supplied a free replacement. Have rebuilt system with the new mobo (and a larger case) and it seems to be working perfectly. Cheers

    Memory issues - hardware reserved

yep, 64-bit win 10 i just removed the memory stick from slot 1, and left slot 2 occupied, and the board wouldn't even boot as far as the BIOS select screen

    Memory issues - hardware reserved

So I removed the graphics card and used the onboard graphics, with no effect. After swaping the memory stick from slot 2 to slot 1, the memory stick shows int the BIOS as detected and enabled, but the stick that worked in slot 1 is detected but does not show as enabled in slot 2. Replaceing both...

    Memory issues - hardware reserved

I have an AMD APU A10 7870K Black Edition running on a Gigabyte GA-F2A88XN-WIFI mobo. Initially I had 8Gb of Corsair Vengence Ram. After installing a 4GB Gigabyte Radeon RX 580 Gaming graphics card, Dawn of War 3 was reporting only 2.5GB of available memory. I then got a 16GB Corsair Vengence...

    Rx580 problem

I've got 8Gb ram, and it's a 4Gb card, would it maybe be worth going to 16Gb ram? I looked in the task manager, but couldn't see what was causing the disc to run so much

    Rx580 problem

My gigabyte rx580 came today, and when I booted up after installing it, the c: drive started running at 100%. This continued after installing the drivers, and still continues after multiple reboots. Any ideas?

    Watercooling an Antec 1200 case

I'm looking at watercooling for the first time, and have a empty Antec 1200 case. Although its an older, very large box, does anyone know if it's capable of mounting the required water cooling kit (particularly the radiator)? Cheers Andy

Win 10, Hard Drives Not Responding

I've disabled "secuROM context-menu" using the shellexview, and the explorer windows are still locking up. Googling the file name and path "C:\windows\SysWOW64\cmdlineext_x64.dll" brings up mixed pages, some saying its evil, some saying its needed. I'm running out of ideas here, lol...

Win 10, Hard Drives Not Responding

OK, i uninstalled 7 zip, and it worked for the first day, then its back to how it was before... The only other shells running are my AVAST anti virus, and a "secuROM context-menu" shell from Sony DADC. A search for "securom context-menu" reveals others have the same problems. Will disable this...

Win 10, Hard Drives Not Responding

This can happen right after turning the computer on, and there's no guarantee the windows will then wake up. Closing the window with the X appears to result in the desktop resetting, all file explorer windows are closed, the toolbar momentarily blanks, then reverts to an apparantly fresh windows...

Win 10, Hard Drives Not Responding

I can navigate through the hard drives on my PC (internal and external) using the left mouse button, but as soon as I click right (for a new folder, or to cut and paste for instance) the window locks up and the windows title bar states it is not responding. Any ideas why?

    New Build BSOD's

Could AMD's turbo boost have been kicking in, and pushing the memory above 2400MHz? Can the memory clock be un-linked from the processor boost?
