    CBR600F mpg

I used to have a FS-1 and it would do about 38ish to the gallon. When I rode home (130miles) mostly 70mph roads and didnt rag it, it would be on the last bar before reserve. So you can get more then 38mpg out of it. But not much more... As above, keep it below 7000rpm (around 78mph) or it will...

    Weise textiles any good?

Have a set of weise textiles, warm no leaks even in torrential rain. Highly recommended. I don't know what the entry level stuff is like, but if its anything like the midrange stuff then very good.

    Kawasaki ER6 Owners?

Sounds fine, my old ER-6 was vibey and gave a good clunk when doing into first. Don't worry. The downpipes are not stainless, stainless doesn't corrode like that. It was a small problem when I had one, get some wirewool and get them clean then put a layer of ACF on them and they will be fine.

    Progressing onto a bigger bike...

It will, you ride on an unrestricted 125 with a cbt; you are riding without insurance. You crash and your insurer won't pay out. You riding without insurance raises premiums for the rest of us. Hence we suffer. You also get screwed for riding uninsured and without a license. You can do what...

Okay have solved it, thanks for the help guys! I thought it was the same thing so was about to switch out the ram when he told me that a SATA port connecting the hard drive had failed a month earlier. I switched the hard drive again (to the only remaining SATA port his DVD drive was connected...

Hi guys, My friends computer has been acting up recently. It started after a period of not being used for 3 weeks. He says it started crashing with random error codes and blue screens. My initial impression was maybe PSU or overheating. Since then it has started hanging at...

Would this be a stupid first bike?

Ultimately you should get what you want. Taking some time on a 125 is worthwhile in my opinion, gives you insight into riding before you get on a big bike and thrash it. I am on my 4th bike and still enjoy going on my bro's L-plated 125 with him 1 up... It sounds like you want a big bike...

    Fell off my bike =/

This... No point claiming if the damage is minor. Will need to be declared for your future insurance applications.

Unlucky mate! Don't worry I remember I travelled 20 miles to mine and had forgotten m plastic license. I would suggest having a look at the highway code: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/travelandtransport/highwaycode/index.htm Has everything you would need there.

Having owned Hondas, a Kawasaki and ridden an R6 I would also say Honda would be my preference.

I've never ridden an Aprilia so can't comment but the R6 is a sweet bike to ride. Not sure how good the older ones are but the 06 one I've tried was pretty sweet. I would still say get a Honda CBR but I'm biased...

    Insurance

I was referring to Yarwood, what year is the Aprilia and how much are you paying for the bike? Also you no claims are valid for 3 years from the date of expiry of your policy as far as I'm aware so you should be fine to use it.

    Insurance

Are you serious? On the basis that I am 24 with 3 yrs no claims and an ER6 and my insurance was 400, I really doubt you would get the R6 for 600. More likely 800-1000 if its old and 1000+ if its 06 newer... If you're looking, the cheapest I could find for our age bracket was Bikesure. The...

    CBR 125 Gearbox issue

Unlikely to be the gear selector, its an 08 so probs to new to get those kinda problems. If its working whilst on the move ignore it and mention it when you go for your next service. They will probably test it and tell you it's fine anyway... Like the others said, get your shifting down...
