Im getting used to that size, when I first got it I thought "thats big", now I would happily up the size if funds would allow.

I was the same when i got my 40 - it was drowned by the 52 though! Used to this one a bit more now myself, but still impressed the mates when playing games / watching a film :)

Here's my modest set up!

optoma HD800X 1080p DLP
optoma HD65 720p DLP
samsung 40 inch 1080p LE40M87
Monitor audio BR1's as fronts, creative PC speakers as rears, centre and sub
Denon avr1907
PC: q6600 @ 3ghz, 2gb corsair ddr2 800, 8800gt @ stock
PS3
Wii
360

It's a bit of a work in progress, still need a screen, proper surrounds, centre, a proper sub, and a new amp that can deal with 5.1 PCM over hdmi.

Here's some pics!

windows @ 1080p on the HD800X. It projects to about 72 inches in my small room, onto a painted white wall (for the time being).

Also got this little guy. He can throw a bigger image, around 88 inches, and gives 1:1 mapping for 360 and ps3 games. Bargain at 400 quid!

Don't forget the tv! Makes an awesome monitor too.

My little monitor audios. As you can see, I'm not much of an audiophile, but they sound great to me. Need to get more of them for surrounds though.

Just added up the cost of everything I listed and it came to a relativley modest 3850 pounds. Not bad considering that's what some people pay for a 1080p projector alone (mine only cost 960 quid!).:D

WOW , COD4 and UT3 look stunning on that screen, hella better than my 22" screen never knew higher res improved it that much! *drools*

Hehe, that's nothing lol. Bear in mind those pics are heavily compressed and my little camera phone has a lower res than the projector, so it's much sharper in real life!

Everyone should have a projector!! They're suprisingly cheap now, well considering the screen sizes you get.

Here's my complete setup:

Here's the main living room with the following :
Pioneer PDP-LX608D 1080p (60inch, 8th generation plasma), Onkyo TX-SR875 (supports full 1080p upscaling, Dolby TrueHD sound DTS HD, and pcm 5.1, utterly amazing), Pioneer LX70A Blu-Ray player.
Speakers - Monitor Audio 5.1 Gold Series - 2* GS20 (Front), 2*GS10(back) 1*GSLCR(centre). Sub - Rel R505, quad core HTPC,

And upstairs in the attic is my console gaming room

Attic - Infocus IN82 1080p, 100" 16:9 screen, denon s301 (5.1 from two speakers, suitable for attic room), PS3. Xbox 360, Wii

Spent around £24k on everything, the speakers are utterly mind blowing, best money i've spent on speakers ever, man you guys should check out TrueHD sound and DTS HD it's crazy good! the sub is brilliant too, set me back £1000. A good sub is everything in a sound system(imho)

That is filth!

aye mate, mostly involved in I.T. have my fingers in many pies though

Amazing setup there, and I would love to hear the MA GS series, they look good and will probably sound it :D

LX kuro screen is my goal, 42inch kuro does me atm so can't imagine how good a 1080p 60inch. Bet it's worth all £4-6k ! I like the way your room is massive and it still consumes that massive screen. Still, I would remove that silly fireplace and mount the tv on the wall :D

One criticism, sort out the audio setup in the gaming room, need another set of nice speakers and sub, get rid of the cheapy 5.1 :p

I think I made another post with a newer pic but I think it vanished for some reason so I thought it would be better just to update my original post...

Ok, first of all, excuse the mess (and wallpaper and carpet - I didn't choose it) ... :o
EDIT with new pic:
imgp1380kv7.jpg

CRT is now gone, replaced with a lovely new 46" Series 6. Now I have to sort out some sort of HD source...
