Loving the tower there mike, seems as though it needs a bell at the top, with some neons all the way up, and a plunger to smack at the bottom with a hammer. Just wondering are you blind at all, because the wallpaper / carpet combo is interesting.

gc, you NAIM whore :D Looks like quite a setup, and lovely room !

Sorry still don't wana post pics of mine, I hate my silly 4mp camera, really need to find a cheap D-SLR !

Yea it wasn't my choice at all! I need to redecorate tbh... :(

That tower is pretty intimidating, I'm tempted to paint it to make it blend in a little, but it's quite funny at the moment as people who see it say "what the hell is that?" :D

nah the tvs fine....thought about getting a bigger one but dont really want to have it domineering the room. I might go for a 40 inch one next year but unure at the moment. dont ever get naim stuff......started 20 years ago and after far far too many upgrades ive come to the logical (well for me) conclusion. my neighbours dont really say hello to me any more !! ; )

Upgrades as in new PSU new PSU, another monoblock, a new PSU a new PSU, another PSU, o nope need another mono :D

Looks like a serious system, but all men need a bigger tv. 50inch Pioneer should work well there, Il give you the time and address of a badly guarded securicor van ;):D
 
er yeah thats the general gist, think ive had 4 poweramps, 4 pre amps, 3 cd players and no idea how many power supplies....oh and about ten pairs of speakers and 2 different stands......it does sound great now though (phew!!)
---arrgh---- ive seriously been thinking about getting a new telly the last few days....damn you all ! - i *was* happy with the 32 inch sony...now im starting to rethink it all !!

sorry noopz - didnt see your question about active vs passive. well the difference has to be heard to be beleived......i cant even put it into words but basically that active crossover, psu for it and the additional 250 amp is possibly the best purchase ive ever made in my life. it competely puts "pace rhythm and timing" into the whole setup. you just cant help but tap your feet ! it sounds more precise, clear and controlled than passive. the end result is that music sounds more like music and less like a hifi system. i think this is because active inherantly produces far less distortion than a passive system.
 
After a lot of saving I finally had the nice Kuro Pioneer Plasma delivered today. The kit list - Pioneer PDP-LX608D, PS3, Denon 3805, Denon 3910, Orb Audio Speakers, Mac Mini, Harmony 885.
