Great success

He's a complete ass. His methods and means are barbaric as hell. Honestly, he is the epitome of everything that is wrong with Americas justice system and why I for one am glad our justice system is nothing like Americas.

"
i did say some... he's gone way to far, but some of his ideas are very good.

Maybe in our country where a life is worth more, but in these more barbaric countries, people are more expendable so its not your place to say the judical system is wrong, its their country so they make their own laws.

Am I not free to comment on the efficacy/ethics of a foreign country's judicial system then? Would you have such qualms with me criticising the use of capital punishment in America?

There is always the argument, everyone deserves another chance.

Falls down in this situation though.

I don't advocate painful death as punishment. I did before I matured, but not now. Death, however, in this situation is a worthy punishment. You cannot rehabilitate someone that can do what these people did, death is the only way forward.

Yeah, I just said that as that's what 'someone' will say.

Not me personally.

Not on the same scale as those who do crimes considered punishable by the death penalty, but this is one for those that believe in rehabilitation.

Thief sent 'sorry' letter to shop

The owner of an Indian food store in Bristol has received an apology letter and £100 from a former drug addict who stole cigarettes from the shop in 2001.

Imran Ahmed, 27, who runs Raja Foods in St Marks Road, Easton, said he was stunned to open the remorseful letter.

It begins: "Dear Sirs, I am writing this letter to make amends to you for something I have done in the past."

I dont mean it like that, you can say what you want but you have to understand they value life less there.

Were you against the hanging of nazi war criminals as well?

As for the 'rehibilitation' - thats the first instance of that I have ever heard of and spending money on all the people if it has such a rubbish success rate, its not worth it my opinion. Not when there are people who could use the resources/money in better ways.

I sometimes think that the death penalty is the easy way out in this case, but I guess it's more of a deterrent than jail.
Then you are a fan of famine and malnutrition - food and valuable resources are just wasted on some people.
The irony is that thier crime took the lives of 200+ people... Does mean less chance of a famine? :(

Stop Arguing you whinging Poms!

They have been interviewed a few times and have openly stated that they show no remorse and would do it all over again if they had the chance.

Yet the still apealled a few times?:p:rolleyes:

Death was well used in this case. They would have used no less for you if you got caught fighting against The orginisation

And like i said in the thread i just posted when i didnt see this one....

They should have dipped the bullets in pigs blood before they shot them to put a message out to any other wannabe martyrs though. It would definatly make them think twice

BTW i heard somewhere it takes about 4 minutes to die when you get shot by firing squad

More reason why I hate 99% of religions.

Should they have been executed - yes. To maintain a clear distinction of what is expected and accepted in society. A cold hard message. Anything less sends a message to any nut case that says it's 'ok' for people to kill others in society.

Anyone looking forward to becoming a martyr should be exempt from receiving the death penalty :)

Failing that they killed 202 people between them, stop and revive whats left of their hearts 202 times and see how they feel :D

It has many meanings that no one knows exactly what it means.

Some say its because if you come down your skin burns from the sun and becomes red like pomegranate.

The other is Prisonor of Mother England, sort of saying England is like serving a jail sentace compared to hereand you are the inmates:p(basic way of putting it)

There are heaps of reasons why its used but no one really knows what the real one is.

no, not prisoner of mother england :p

Prisoner of Millbank, we sent our prisoners from millbank to Oz iirc :p im sure thats the origin of it.
