NEW RANGE OF WATERCOOLED SYSTEMS NOW AVAILABLE

Hello there. Long time reader but finally got registered! Any updates on the builds from both people? Would like to see both as one seems to be a heavily modified system and one seems to be a stock system. Me and a friend are looking to purchase one but we would like to see the quality and reviews/benchmarks of both systems in particular the modified system (samuelc) as we would like to see how customized this rig can get... any ETA King Arthur?

Hi Smit

Both systems in the end were heavily modified its the unfortunate water cooling bug people get he he. They both spent more than they originally intended to.

I was going to wait for both systems to be finished before i posted images, but i do have images from one of the two systems. Just getting them hosting on the site now. The second system is waiting for parts from EK in Germany as the customer decided he wanted more modifications that what we specified originally, so that wont be up till after the weekend now.

Here are some finished pics of the systems Hash70 had.

Like everything, the pics simply dont do it justice.

Over and above the standard specification he had a full cover motherboard block and mosfet blocks. Also also went with the option upgrade of a black acetal blocks all round to keep the black and white theme.

Hash70 then went for 2 x 5870 graphics cards and a Corsair 850w PSU for better graphics.

Impressive have to say it we do produce some superb builds.

"Samuelc" who has named his system Nocturnal will be equally as nice except he is water cooling the graphics card and having a different motherboard and reservoir system.

Hash70 - Nice system mate. Got a couple of people looking at the screen. Very neat and Tidy and a good colour scheme. for starters, I've noticed the ram is different to the default build spec as listed on the overclockers page. I'm guessing both customers must have changed it to go with the colour scheme. Could you confirm that this is the case?

Is it possible to have a build log as per the posts on Page 1? Would be very useful to see what the customers went for (provided they agreed of course) so perhaps we could go for a similar build like them? So we could start budgeting?

Also, in Hash70's build, may I ask why there's a blue lining around the corsair logo near the harddrives? I'm not quite sure what it is.

Watercooling the graphics card? Good to know that OCUK provides this service. Do you guys overclock samuelc's 5870?

Different Motherboard and Reservoir? Surely the default P6TD and reservoir would be more than enough for a 4.0-4.2ghz system? Personal preference I guess.

Just as a tech question - Does a watercooled overclocked 5870 1000/1300 perform maybe 60% of a crossfired 5870 setup?

Has anyone ordered a watercooled 5970 with this build out of curiosity? For EOC, I would most likely go with a 5970 if my budget permits.

Cheers,
smi

The build happened in a matter of hours and while i try to snap as much as i can i often cant stand down there all the time to make a full build log. That said i will try and take more photos when the next one comes through.

The memory was indeed changed by customer choice, but i have now changed the black memory to the default memory as you can see in the pictures.

The blue lining is simply a protective film and is removed by the end user when they receive it. The front of the case also has the same covering hence no photos as it looks awful until removed.

Water cooling the graphics card and motherboard voids the warranty with both us and the manufacturer. Both customers were advised of this before we went ahead and watercooled the respective parts. No graphics cards are overclocked and this is normally an end user task. Should a customer wish to pay us to do it we can do, but as we cant use profiles and as such it takes a lot of time we would need to charge for this service which the customer declined at the time.

The motherboard SamualC has chosen is the Asus Rampage II Extreme Intel X58 (Socket 1366) DDR3 Motherboard which will be fully watercooled and he has chosen a different reservoir which will be custom mounted on the case.

Both systems will be clocked at 4.00GHz but would probably do 4.2GHz+ should the end user wish to push them further.

Yes, SamualC has ordered a 5970 Black Edition which will be watercooled with a full cover block but wont be overclocked.

I wish i could router cables so well. I spent like 3 hours planning my cable routing, and then doing it, and tidying it etc. I find they tended to be just to short to go a long route to hide it all nicely, but so long that the other option left a load of slack somewhere. As it is, I have a small bundle of cables in the bottom of my tj-07 lol

The corsair 800D is such a fantastic case to work with. The cable routing is very nice due to precut holes and perfect positioning of the radiator with hold for all the tubing to go through.

If i ever went back to water cooling I'd be using this case for sure.

Thank you King Arthur for the quick pictures. Very useful indeed for everyone who is looking to purchase this system.

This system would be nearly @ stock specifications with the exception of the motherboard cooling and the graphic cards. Very nice Job rjkoneill.

I guess the next system a lot of people including myself would be waiting to see would be samuelc's system as that seems more customised and it would be interesting to see the build log and quality of the end product on the forums.

samuelc and hash70- - would love to see pictures from you too if you have the time! and i bet a lot of people would love to as well!

You should build one and send it to CustomPC for review. They're bound to love it and it could get you a few orders. Would keep rjkoneill busy (if he isn't already :)).
I've noticed OcUK getting more and more mentions in that magazine recently too. All of it positive. Good stuff indeed.
(Sorry for going off topic slightly! The system above does look great).

Hi Paul

Thanks for kind comments, we do like doing custom work for customers but they are inherently more expensive as they simply take more time. I know the guys who build them enjoy a different build every now and then too he he.

We're doing more and more marketing each month which is nice.

We just need a few more customer with bespoke requirements to call us up and we can start doing more systems like the above.

People dont have to have white tubing etc they could have red, green, blue etc. Any colour scheme they want :)
