NEW RANGE OF WATERCOOLED SYSTEMS NOW AVAILABLE

Right.

Over the past week I've been on the phone with King Arthur and the amount of help I've received is second to none. Even through emails I've had extremely quick responses. I remember a time I had an enquiry about a graphic card which I sent @ 22:30 ish and I had a phone call the very next morning at about 8:30 a.m.

For me, the customer service is exceptional. I haven't got my system but the service and help I've received to date is second to none. I've always been wary about watercooling as I'm still on a big learning curve. But the fact that my system is being customised and built by a renowned overclocker, I really can't complain.

I've had tenders from other competitors regarding prebuilt water cooling systems. Some of them may have been slightly cheaper but in no way did they provide the level of advice, expertise and help given to me by the team @ OCUK.

Again, I haven't got my system but I have no doubts that it will be excellent. I will and have been recommending OCUK to everyone in my workplace if only for the excellent customer service alone.

And yeap. The build log is on its way too.

So really, from the guys on the phone to the purchasing department and the building team, keep up the good work. Guys like myself whom aren't the best technical guys around really appreciate the help from all of you. I work in the finance line in London and I deal with all sorts of people over time. Very professional team @ OCUK. Well done.

thanks again,
Sam

Very clear and professional post samuelc. Always good to know that a company follows up on its product it sells to consumers. Any ETA on your system? Did you have to wait long for your rig to date? I'm guessing OCUK will post pictures of your rig being built and that you will also be posting pictures of your rig as an end product?

Sorry for all the questions being asked but I'd like to see hear on how it goes as me and my mates would really like to get one each. 3 of us to be exact.

Hi Guys,

Firstly thank you to Sam for such nice comments, all i can say "its a pleasure helping you achieve your dream system"

The estimated finished build time of the system is tomorrow afternoon. Sam is going to be collecting it on Saturday in person too.

Sam's system is currently being built as the last part has come in today, I have asked the builds manager rjkoneill to take lots of photos of his progress. I will also tomorrow ensure I take some more professional photos of the fully built system in my new photography tent :)

Hello Mate,

Apologies for the late reply. Been extremely busy @ work :)
Yup I have been in touch with OCUK previously about putting up the pictures of my system for you guys to see. I think you might have a chance of seeing it today maybe sometime in the late afternoon. I'm not entirely sure if they will be listing the full parts along with the pictures as I'm pretty sure they are extremely busy at the moment.

I will also be posting my own review which would include my room and individual parts and how the rig runs and looks etc so you guys can see how the rig would look in a home environment etc etc. One thing to note though is that I'm still one of those guys who is learning more and more about computers on a daily basis and I'm no pro. Hopefully what I write would meet the standards here. But more on that when I post it up. I'm guessing I would be posting up the whole thing in the case section as there's where personal builds and staff builds have appeared historically but I'm not entirely sure if I will be posting the reviews of the individual parts (subject to my knowledge) in the same area but we'll see!

As Phil mentioned in the previous post, I have indeed got the Rampage Extreme 2, the 'black' Ram and the XFX Black Edition 5970.

The motherboard is watercooled. I'd say the picture of the motherboard being watercooled would more or less look exactly like the other system posted by Phil with the exception of a few bits and pieces from the Rampage Extreme 2.

My 5970 is also watercooled using a Black EK watercooling set with a nickle plate if my memory serves me correctly. The whole idea was to keep the black and white theme running as far out as possible. I had to buy a new desk but thankfully not new speakers (was planning to orginally but managed to save some money) to match the system.

My monitors would be - Samsung 2443bw x 3. i've also got a Dell Display port adaptor arriving at my home in 2 hours so it should all come together properly hopefully.

The one thing I wont mention yet I guess would be the colour of my coolant. Not sure how well it will be received in the forums and I guess I'll save it for the log...

I assure you that whatever colour codes you'd like i.e Tubing, Coolant, Ram, colour of the mobo blocks, mosfets, cables, fan colours and of course system specifications (subject to stock of course) I'm sure Phil and Richard could give you a quotation and to give you the best advice possible £ for £ to Performance. In terms of the system build time, I'd say I have myself to blame as some of the parts that I wanted had to be imported in to the UK so the time frame of which has taken to build my system would have been distorted with my requirements. Even then, Phil has always contacted me as soon as any news came in related to delays, stock surplus and ideas. My option to make additional changes were always kept open by them to ensure that I had the system built to exactly how I want it to be.

I have bought quite a number of items from OCUK over a year or two and I've never once had to return anything (except a £2.00 cable which didn't arrive due to the Royal Mail Strike). Of which I called OCUK to tell them about the situation and they sent one out to me immediately and I received it within 24 hours of my call.

Lastly, I'll be driving down with my wife to stoke on Saturday to collect my system so hey!

Hope that helps mate and my apologies for the wall of text

Kind Regards,
Sam

Very nice clean looking build guys, whoever bought that rig is going to be one extremely happy chap indeed!

Strange looking coolant in the res though, does this fluid XP stuff give much better temps than say DI water?

I've been trying to decide whether I should buy some when I get round to rebuilding my rig again, but I am unsure because I'm afraid that it ends up clogging my blocks and tubing.

Woah, thats one of the tidiest pc's I've seen! Very nice work. :)

Totally agree - very nice work ocers. I am envious I must say - makes my own efforts look .... well feeble actually. Oh well can't win them all.

Congrats to all including the lucky owners of such spiffing systems.

rjkoneill has got the pics for Sam's system. It looks awesome, I am really envious. Looks far better than the systems we sell costing twice as much.

You'll have to wait till tomorrow though for pics ;)

so i assume i cant pay him to come to my house? I'd cover travel expenses and I'd even feed him! Thats on top of what, £200 a day?

my new photography tent :)

aka - Camelot :p

really happy with how Sams system has turned out.
it has taken me a good while to do concentrating mainly on cable management and getting all the aesthetics right.

tomorrow it will be finished, i will stick the pictures on my photobucket or email them to Sam directly, [whichever you prefer, just email my trust address to let me know]
i want to get as much benchmarking and stability testing done as possible. then i will of course clock it for you.

i plan on putting a few bios profiles on the system, maybe a 4GHz and a top end clock [highest i can get it]

then you can switch it up depending on how you use the system.

either way, it is looking superb.

dont forget guys, all custom water systems can include any combo of fans/coolant colors you like

the guys here have gone for the default white.

cant wait to get some pitures up for you, i have really enjoyed building this one :)

Strange looking coolant in the res though, does this fluid XP stuff give much better temps than say DI water?

hi Davy, the fluid is the Nano Fluid, i use this in my own rig, whilst the colour doesnt stay in suspension too long it is not really a colouring and more of an additive.

when using it in my system i did notice a 5'c temperature drop over standard feser clear that i was using beforehand.
