COMPETITION DETAILS

Today we are giving one lucky person the chance to win a fantastic VTX3D HD 6870 X2 graphics card currently retailing on this site at £344.99 and an exclusive Ruby model, all courtesy of the lovely chaps at AMD.

Four runners up, will also receive their very own exclusive Ruby model!

HOW TO ENTER

To be in with a chance of winning, all you need to do is come up with an entertaining, funny, or downright silly rhyming poem or limerick using the following words....

  • Ruby
  • VTX3D
  • Overclockers
The words are going to be pretty challenging to fit in so this will certainly test your powers of creativity!

This competition is open exclusively to our forum members because we love you and think you're all made of win and aceness :) Do remember though, no matter how ace you are, if your entry doesn't contain those 3 words your entry won't be valid!

Only 1 entry per forum member.

You must post your entry in this competition thread to qualify.

Overclockers UK staff will take a vote after the closing date to determine one winner and to choose four runners up.

The winner will be notified after the closing date via this thread and their forum name will also be mentioned on Facebook and Twitter.

The competition ends on at 11.59am GMT on Friday 19th August 2011.

No cash alternatives will be offered.

This competition is not open to Overclockers UK employees or their families.

There once was a young girl called Ruby,
on the forums of our Overclockers,
and being quite needy
for a VTX3D
She'll flash you her admirable knockers!

Overclockers, i never told you how i truly feel.
To me you mean a great deal.
Computer parts are out connection.
To you i dedicate moneys all my affection.

VTX3D, you mean so much to me
With you i'll truly feel free
I anxiously await out time ahead
With impatience i am fed

I hope i can put ruby to some good use
Its should be a symbol of more good news

Doesn't have to be long, doesn't have to be short! Worth entering as you never know, it could be you!
 
For many-a-year I waited to see,
An X2 branded card by VTX3D,
Then out of the blue and all on her own,
She came to Overclockers and sat on the throne.
Watching,
Waiting,
For a gamer to start gaming.
Then, as quick as lightning,
She started fighting
With the graphics inside him.

The place will be taken,
It was always forsaken,
To be replaced by another,
Much stronger than it was.

The gamer let out an unforgivable cry,
His mother upstairs let out a sigh,
As his old card was replaced with an unknown one,
But he still still tested it out, just for fun,
The Witcher 2; 200fps with Ubersampling on!
The computer cut off, and he looked to the sky:
"Mum, I need a new Power Supply!"
For no other thing was as valuable as thee,
Except my one, my only, plastic model of Ruby!

I was about to go out to riot,
but then everyone went quiet,
a competition at Overclockers UK?
win a VTX3D next Friday,
or Ruby to calm my disquiet!



Short, simple, contemporary.
 
Her name was Ruby, she looked so fine,
She started undressing, at least in my mind.
Her hair was like fire, it burned so bright,
If swords are your pleasure, then she's a delight.

On closer inspection, I saw it there,
on the bottom of her shoe, small and square.
VTX3D, what could this mean?
She belongs to another, how unforeseen.

Simply delightful, I wish it was true,
To hold and to have her, I have to pursue.
She's leaving the country, I've made my choice,
To follow her to Overclockers, then I'll rejoice.
