This would not bother me so much if I was able to change it. I have around 10 BF personas and would like to be able to use just one of them, rather than my EA I.D, which sucks. The only reason my EA I.D, is not the same as my main BF persona is that when I joined Origin / EA Store or whatever it was called is that I chose my BF Persona as my EA I.D and guess what? They said it had been taken which is true, it was taken my me! Shambles tbh.

Apparently if you login to the EA persona area then select your battlefield one as your main one then in BF3 that will be your soldier name but i cant see how thats going to work either. The mess of the usernames and personas and master id's with ea is just huge, i dont even recall creating half of them and you cant get rid of them either. If they force ea id's to be the main solder then loads of people are going to complain.

Is anybody else having problems with Origin.

When i log in to Origin and try to visit Order History it wont let me load the page up. It's been doing it since i Pre-ordered BF3 about 6 days ago?

Seems to load for very few people, ive never been able to get it to load =/

Should be useful, thought it could put a few minds at ease. 6990 and 590 performance is currently poor due to their being no multi-gpu scaling in this alpha:

Alpha results really mean nothing as no real optomisation had been done. Also don't put any stock into the fact those benchamarks say HQ (High quality), the settings really made next to no difference in the Alpha.

You actually don't know that at all. It is entirely possible that it will perform exactly like this at release.

All Alpha means is it's the proper test release. That's it, nothing more, nothing less. It doesn't mean it lacks any features that'll be in the final game or that it isn't optimised fully.

It won't, re-read my post where i added about the settings, optomising games for max performance usually comes pretty late in the cycle.

But it did, changing the settings to low medium high or auto visually made really no difference, also the "ultra" setting wasn't available. Theres no telling if assets for any of those settings made it into the alpha or we were just playing at medium or low settings. So how can they base benchmarks claiming to be "HQ" on a build with settings that done literally nothing?

If you compare video footage of the SP campaign visuals to the MP alpha visuals you will see theres a pretty big difference in quality.

It lacked terrain tessellation according to the devs so if anything performance could very likely go down in beta/release.

Do you guys reckon i'll get away with a single 6970 using Eyefinity @ 5760x1080, and a Q9400 at 3.33GHz on medium settings? I need to upgrade my motherboard/cpu/ram at some point, but can't afford to do it just yet! :p

Lacked a lot from what i could see, lost count of the amount of threads in the alpha forum with a heading along the lines of "wtf happened the graphics?". Id be very suprised if the alpha had assets for anything above low\ medium, as changing the settings (or should i say setting) done nothing.

Why are you guys arguing about the Alpha? Alpha is just for server stress testing, they made it invite to the public to probably drum up some more interest about the game within the communitys.

Theres no argument really, just stating that the alpha was missing a lot in terms of performance and actual graphical options. Theyve already said the beta and retail will have graphical settings that actually do something as opposed to the alpha :)

They also got an assload of early feedback which has a good chance of the changes making it into the game for retail as opposed to the beta feedback, any changes from that will be a post retail patch.
