I'm using the latest - don't seem optimised for Trisli as yet

Not done single or sli as can't be bothered taking the side off yet

I can't believe how much they talked about the interactive volumetric fog in that video.... It's nothing new and has been done before in games that didn't rely on PhysX

I also have Batman Arkham City GOTY and never knew my 6990 +6970 could run PhysX and after watching videos like the one I posted was the main reason I went back to Nvidia after many years of ATI and I still own the 6990 but gave away the 6970 to a friend.

I was happy enough with the performance of my ATI cards and have EK block on the 6990 as that was too loud and toasty on stock cooler but I gues its expected to add water blocks to these hot cards now really and have blocks fitted on my 780s also.

If I knew my ATI could do the PhysX I would still have them in my rig.

I run 5850 crossfire with a separate 9800GT for PhysX and they worked in perfect harmony

Edit: Did some more tests and after a fresh restart, All tests with motion blur disabled as personally I hate it!
TXAA High

Avg: 51

Max: 102
Avg: 64

Difference in quality between them all? Not a whole lot I'm afraid at least at 1080p, Though the shadows look that tiny bit nicer on TXAA high. However TXAA might/may do its usual blurring trick but I didn't notice any on the benchmark

All done with 1202/7008 overclock on an Asus GTX 670 4gb

Im pretty sure you dont have any load on your 9800GT though. HybridPhysX systems seems to not be working with this title due to something special in the physxcore.dll and the physxloader.dll. The Hybridize thread is full of this information.

Unless ofcourse you know about some voodoo that will cure the blockage.

Dont expect people who buy hardware to know anything about that hardware. Assumption is dangerous on the interwebz

I'd agree with any old hardware but when you've got two top end nvidia cards a little knowledge of what PhysX works fully on is expected.

My knowledge of PhysX goes like this:

Once apon a time a company called Nvidia who produces graphics cards, Made something Called PhysX to go along with their gpu's. It does stuff and makes things pretty, AMD a rival company doesn't get to benefit from it.

Does that sound like a fair explanation?

Ive had SLI since Voodoo 2s then a couple of NVidia cards but since SLI 8800s ive had every top ATI card upto the 6990 and only went NVidia after watching a Batman video on Youtube showing PhysX until then I had little idea what it is or that ATI cards could run it aswell.

Mostly all I play is Iracing and before that GPL.

Im not brand loyal in the slightest and don't understand why anyone would be tbh I just buy the best cards I can afford when I need or want to upgrade.

Nope nvidia didn't make PhysX, and AMD users can sometimes use it at CPU level.

The difference between having a dedicated PhysX card and doing it all on a single card

I don't run the 5850's and 9800GT any more.... I'm on 7950 crossfire now with. Ow PhysX card.

PhysX will be dead in 12 months anyway so no point in buying a card or Nvidia GPU's just to run it in a select few games.... Most of which are junk games anyway.
