So which is the best manufacturer to go for? This will be for a waterblock build - MSI?

Sapphire price is nice, but don't mind paying the £10 more, looks liek Sapphire warranty isn't the nicest, and MSI don't seem to usually mind about removing the cooler.

Sapphire and MSI are both fine with cooler removal. :)
 
 
I really wanna buy this card the sapphire one. But the problem with the heat and the fan noise is a big drawback. Prolly gonna go for toxic :/

then wait for the Dual X version, if we get it, because mine is dead silent

finally, i wouldn't touch this version anyway, i'd always go for a later after market card; in about 3 months time

I can do dual X my self with a vga cooler. I was planing to go for 280x toxic but then i saw 290. Although 290 + cooler is like 100 pounds more than 280x toxic which has 3 fans
 
Where would my OC'd 7970 sit in those charts in the OP Gibbo? About the same as the 280 TOP?

290pro + waterblock is cheaper than the slower 780. Interested to see what Nvidia do with pricing now.............

That is ridiculous performance for the price. Part of me is starting to consider ditching the 670s.

Shame water/custom cooling is pretty much mandatory though. Still, £320 for that is incredible.
