LuxMark 2.0 Bench Thread

LuxBall HDR Single Benchmark

4 GPUs.

1. Score 100058 GPU 290X @1250/1625, Kaapstad Link 14.4 Beta
2. Score 78992 GPU nvTitan @994/1789, Kaapstad Link 337.5 Beta

Sala Medium Benchmark

4 GPUs.

1. Score 13640 GPU 290X @1230/1625, Kaapstad Link 14.4 Beta
2. Score 10433 GPU nvTitan @994/1789, Kaapstad Link 337.5 Beta

Room Complex Benchmark

4 GPUs.

1. Score 6897 GPU 290X @1230/1625, Kaapstad Link 14.4 Beta
2. Score 5154 GPU nvTitan @994/1789, Kaapstad Link 337.5 Beta

What is impressive with the Titans is how well they do considering the number of compute units they have. Just comparing Kaap's scores, the 290X has 44 compute units and the Titans have 14.

I'm sure it doesn't scale like this, but that means, per compute unit:

LuxBall HDR Single Benchmark
Titan compute unit = 1410.6
290X compute unit = 568.5

Sala Medium Benchmark
Titan compute unit = 186.3
290X compute unit = 77.5

Room Complex Benchmark
Titan compute unit = 92.0
290X compute unit = 39.2

Actually that'd be interesting, at the same clocks do the 290Xs score 10% better than a 290? How close is the correlation between compute units and score (if clock speeds are the same)?

Also, is it me or do the links next to Kaap's Titan results not work correctly? Is that how much LtMatt hates Nvidia, he won't even link to their results? :)

If nothing else these recent Nvidia entries have made me realise that Humbug and I have different interpretations of "blow Nvidia into the dark ages" :D
I realise that a decently clocked 290X will probably beat these scores and Kaap's 290Xs soundly beat his Titans, but still, given Humbug's comments I was expecting Nvidia results to be about half what they have been so far.

I was wondering if it would be much the same as the difference between AMD and Nvidia cards with the recent cryptocoin mining. Not knowing much about mining I wondered if the mining stuff used a lot of Compute Units. From these results I'm guessing not.

From another benchmark thread:
The website has a leaderboard with GPU's listed

If i wanted to make a benchmark thread that i knew AMD would blow Nvidia into the dark ages i would have made a LuxMark thread,.

All first run scores if that makes a difference.
