The AMD Driver Thread

Tried synchronize made no difference. Yeah because I like to lower the voltage right down to - 31 from stock 13+

Because msi have 3 OC profile they also have high stock voltage to cover the profiles.
I would also like to match the 290 @1030.. Am not sure what's going on.

Do you have ulps disabled by any chance?

Ok if I disable Crossfire or disable ULPS I can then change the voltage.. I used to always have ULPS disabled reason I remember being able to change the voltage on all GPUs.

So can anyone who has ULPS enabled tell me if you can change the voltage on all your GPUs with MSI afterburner.
Thanks

Tommy, think I might have sussed Far Cry 4 and AFR mode. Do not use SMAA. I'm using MSAAx2 with AFR, farmes are super good, solid 60fps and great crossfire usage but more importantly, the horrible shadow that you get in the frame has now disappeared. Must be something to do with SMAA and AFR.

I tried it your way, custom profile with AFR enabled and MSAAx2 and it all felt very odd.

Can't put my finger on it, maybe it was micro stutter but although I was getting consistant 60fps V-synced and all my GPU's (295x2 / 290x) were pretty much under 100% load it didn't feel right.

Certain effects looked sped up.

without crossfire it runs at about 35 fps but that actually felt better.

Think i'll wait for the proper crossfire drivers.

So with ULPS on for you matt is all your other GPU's not allow the voltage change?

synchronise wont work for me because my card not the same ID tag..

I have it off at the moment, but will try later. Pretty sure for me it only changes the voltage of gpu1 when i use sync. Maybe Pete sets them individually.

A bios flash might give you the same ID. ;)

My cards are all pretty much identical in their voltage requirements and clockability, so I have synchronise checked and clock them as one.
I just checked to see if they could be adjusted independently (with sync disabled obviously :)) and they can. I dunno.
ULPS is on.

This driver is not recommended for normal users, it's for people who use the Alienware Amplifier.

I experience regular black screens/hangs on my crossfire 7970's when using the latest Omega Drivers, first problems i've experienced with AMD cards/drivers in a couple of years.

No problems when using the previous drivers (No crashes in well over a week) so looking forward to the nect release as I always like to keep my drivers upto date, but i can't at the moment.

Hi Matt, I have a 295x2 and fx9590 cpu running off a Silverstone 1500 watt power supply,
do you think I could add a 290x for tri-fire off this PSU?

Sorry this is off topic for the thread but I really wanted your opinion. :)

Thanks.

You certainly can, but first it would be nice to know what motherboard you have and what resolution you'll be running, along with what games you'll be playing?
