Surprised with how high people are putting. I'll remember this day, if you buy under your quoted amount i'll link you back so you can feel bad ;)

What people would like and what people can afford will likely be two different things.

Nvidia putting 12GB on Titan X is nice and all but you'll pay heavily for it. I imagine 8GB mainstream Nvidia cards are years away, they are notoriously stingy with vram and when they do offer it it costs the earth :p

AMD's HBM could be really pricey as well. 8GB HBM I doubt will come cheap..

I think we'd all like 8GB plus but likely won't all be able to afford the cards :p

Judging by how often games are exceeding 3gb at 1080p nowadays, I'd be quite hesitant to buy anything with less than 6gb vram on board.

I thought I'd be safe with the 970 for a while but nvidia lied about its specs. Had I known that beforehand, I'd have never even considered buying it. Hopefully, this year'll bring a worthwile upgrade to the table. If the 390/390x comes with only 4gb I'm definitely skipping those cards.
