They could buy the TS team. But if they leave then RB will be with out an engine and will be forced out of F1.
Merc would win every race for years as they have the most money to spend on development.
Wonder if Hamilton will sign the new contract at this race?

But wouldn't you imagine that returns on investment diminish? Sure Mercedes could polish their engine but the relative room for improvement for other manufcturers and the cost effectiveness of doing so must be better.
Under the previous engines their relative simplicity meant that they were fairly even so the teams chasis became the major differentiator. Currently the engine seems to have the major if not overwhelming impact on performance of a car.

I'd fully support a 5th (and even a 6th) engine specifically allocated to Fridays only. Friday running is already suffering, and if the teams get close to using 4 we will see them just not bother going out on Fridays.
Just look at what the tyre restrictions do to Fridays when it looks like being a wet weekend.

Saw some gifs on reddit, what's going on with the marshalling at Malaysia? Are they trying to kill themselves?
Why are the marshals so close to the wheels, one slip and they're under.
Why lower the boom when people are working near the car?

To be fair an F1 car at full throttle travels an awful long way in 4 seconds, but then you get marshals like you do at Montreal, so.....
Yes, I can only imagine Charlie was doing his nut at those ones after Montreal 2013 and Suzuka.

Ferrari seem to be quite strong here.
Feel like their running on low fuel in FP1 and 2 where as Merc were busy with their own thing.
As much as I'd like to see Kimi fighting for a win I don't think it will happen at this race, or Vettel

Grosjean still being a twit out on track. Will see how my opinion of him changes over the next year. The year he got the ban he was a disaster, before and after the ban. The year after he was quieter but that was short term, last year he wasn't fast enough to actually get into a crash with anyone. This year if he continues to not crash into everyone maybe he grew up.
Some of the tires have looked really terrible after any lock ups. IE a small lock up elsewhere is fine but here creates a small flat spot. A bigger lock up that might make the tire a little crappy elsewhere seems to cause the tire to almost destroy itself here. Temps are a problem, thankfully Hamilton isn't at Mclaren so they probably won't cost him a title by keeping him out too long on a tire with zero grip.... but I wouldn't be surprised if we see some major tire issues in this race. Some punctures, pitting due to ruining tires in a lock up, serious performance deg throughout stints and maybe even a full on tire failure? The tires certainly don't look happy here.
Mehri spun into gravel again. Okay he really has to try and push the car but not making a good impression in his first two sessions, especially as that one was just as stupid as putting tires on the white line before braking/turning.

It's the sort of problems you have to expect after no pre-season or experience of driving the car. Ricciardo spun by braking on the grass in Australia and Sainz did it twice I recall and he went on to have a stunning race, so it's a bit harsh criticising another rookie for that one.
