Not decided yet, just interested to see what it turns out like as apart from the price it seems to have topped reviews as a factory O/C 980ti.

I'm still in two minds about the who upgrade thing. I'm on 2560x1440 27" and quite fancied 3440x1440 34" curved but the screens seem less than stellar so far and it feels like you'd need SLi'd 980tis to be able to max games out. I wonder if a good factory O/C 980ti like the Strix coupled with driver improvements might be good enough for 3440x1440, at least until Pascal comes along...

I'm also considering the strix, nice looking card and temps and fan noise seem ok despite it being the same heatsink assembly with 2 heatpipes that don't touch the core.

All of the factory oc'd non ref models seem to be pretty close temp wise. Noise though can differ quite a lot between the various models.

I don't think you'll get away with one card at that res if you want ultra across the board.

Excellent looking card and excellent looking rig!

Zotac do make some really nice looking cards.

Your Amp! looks like it dropped out of a military arms container! Awesome.

That backplate is missing its graphic design though, as you've mentioned.

Which reviews? The ones I read made it seem quite underwhelming, if not totally pointless compared to Gaming 6G and the Amp! Extreme.

Most people are getting the stealth backplate, OCUK even offered to RMA the card and said they'll change the picture on the store.
An user on Overclock.net sent the card back to Zotac to get the right one mounted... I can't be bothered that much, but I was disappointed.

There is a vent on the bottom of the case, however to keep the cables all on the RHS of the PSU l opted for this orientation. Also it keeps the warranty tab clear of any damage when fitting to case, just on the off chance l need to RMA the unit. It should also help remove hot air from the case due to the 3rd party coolers l prefer to fit. Cooling tho is not a dramas with 2x140 @ high rpm intake and 2x140 on the roof @ low rpm drawing air out.

Missed the "issue" with the back plate, however l quite like it over the printed version.

The strix is currently way over priced compared with the likes of the amp extreme and gaming 6 and HOF and even some of the £540 cards are still going to OC to within about 50mhz of the top cards anyway
