Right in preperation for saturdays clean

Im going to use the 3 for 2 at Halfrauds and buy a Farecla G3 Body Prep Clay Mitt

My products i have at the moment are

Turtle wax Glass Polish
Turtle wax Spray wax (wet and dry stuff)
Carplan triple shampoo
Rain x
Turtle wax colourmatch polish (this is terrible stuff and i want to replace it when i can)
Wonder Wheels cleaner
Lots of cloths, Pads etc etc
EDIT:
Pressure Washer also :)

Can anyone recommend me 2 more products to make best use of this offer?
Or even 5 more products if my products i have are deemed naff and others are worth getting in this offer

My car is a light silver and the paints in good condition just very dirty as i work on Industrial sites so a lot of fallout and unknown bits settle on it daily.

Howdy

I'm doing the same this weekend and getting the g3 clay mitt, halfords upholstery cleaner and turtle tyre dressing.

Yup ordered 2 bottles too as top-up...so much beading for such little effort!

beads after 2m10s

Not instock but will get delivered 5-7days.

I couldn't resist.. order 2 bottles as well , never used it before but heard good things.. will probably use it as top up over collinite.. to start with anyway

I used the G3 clay mit for the first time today....CRIKEY! What a great invention.

Used with a bucket of soapy water on a ~20 year old car that had never been clayed before. You can really hear and feel the rough texture of paint and then it go smooth after a few mins. It was this mit that made me detail my car properly after 3 years. Couldn't bare to use a clay bar, memories of 7 years ago of it taking ages.

Mine's not that old but I'm looking forward to bringing the paintwork to life and to be fair it's in pretty good knick for its age and really blooms in the sun.

At some point I need to pressure wash the crusty dirt from under the arches! Might need to invest in a few brushes, to aid the wheels too.

I just bought one the other day but not had a chance to use it yet... my cars only 4 years old so I'll be interested to see what effect it has...never clayed anything before..

Today's efforts. I usually wash at the local handwash place, but I decided to go full full detail mode after hearing about the G3 clay mitt.

Megs Gold wash
G3 Clay mitt
AG SRP (2 coats on key areas)
Farecla G3 Super Gloss Paste Wax

Excellent combo I find, I think the G3 Super Gloss Paste is really a dark horse - doesn't seem to get mentioned much, but the effort to results factor is amazing. So easy to apply and buff, no need to worry about sun when applying and looks great.

that looks great for the age :) well done

Stunning reflection on that for the age, Good job! Now come do mine :D

Cheers! Credit to the first 2 owners, the car was probably garaged.

Toyota need to propose knighthoods to whoever they employed during the years of the celica and supra designs, so timeless, still awesome to this day.

Haha well put. The Supra, Celica and MR2 are great designs. the GT86 is also nice but we need replacements for the other 2.

Yeah the Super Gloss Paste went on really easily, the included applicator is superb (how do you clean this btw?). I hope the protection lasts at least half as long as they say.

Anyone recommend a wax that really pops on black paint? That super wet look.

Iv gone a little oldschool with what iv bought, Simonez Original gold wax. Reading the reviews this stuff is the genuine stuff for a great finish but its not foolproof at all and it is literally rub and buff immediately as it goes like rock incredibly quickly.

Wasnt bad at 3 quid for a 150g tin worth a go!

So the wax is simply amazing.. Iv never seen such a deep shine to my car especially my wheels (not even when i had them powdercoated fresh)

Im now in need of a new clay bar though todays clean has it falling to pieces.

Sorry only just saw your post.

Looks good!

Did you try the wet MF cloth? Tbh I only used it a couple of times and gave up haha, moved onto FK1000p instead

Also with regards to clay, haven't used one yet, but check out clay mitts! Apparently make the job a LOT easier and quicker

I actually applied it with a sponge pad id usually use for polishing as i found after 2 passes on a MF the fibres were solid and not evenly spreading the wax. The pad worked fine but its binned now as after a full car + wheels its seriously clogged up.

Clay mit is my next call ;) But i need a bar also for them wheels as theyre powdercoat most wheel cleaners are too harsh on them and i need something to remove tar spots/brake dust :( Iv tried all sorts of cleaners but all the acid free variants do not shift stuff no matter how well u brush it and leave it.

Im happy with it now we wait for rain to see how the beading looks :)

Ha yeah I remember it being tricky to work with! Looks like you got there though :)

Ahhh fair enough, makes sense!

I bought this last week, and although it looked clean, it was swirl city.

Went over it with Poorboys SSR2 using a DAS6, followed by Poorboys black hole and Dodo juice purple haze. I am very pleased with the results, although I think I needed something a bit tougher on removing the swirls as there are still some present. But I am happy with it how it is really, it's a huge improvement, and the first time I have done 'proper' detailing if you can call it that!
