Maybe the lack of extra voltage and unlocking of some big overclocks is an NV ploy to sell more FEs

Once people in the queue for some of the AIB monstrosities realise they wont clock any more than the FE they seem to be cancelling their order and going for the FE.

I read quite a few complaints about the card not overclocking much. What I think most of them don't realise is that the card's auto OC is pretty good now, which leaves less headroom for manual OCs. I bet that if the auto OC was less and the manual OCs got it up to the current manual max people wouldn't be complaining as much.

That will be interesting because most reviews are with a skylake, which is faster than the CPU you used there.. maybe it will allow the 1080 to go a bit higher, or it might not make any difference IDK how much difference CPU makes in ROTR and division, but at 1440p it might make a difference, or possibly no difference.

I bought the Fe edition in the end, took it out of the box and could instantly tell it was a quality piece of kit, not just a cheap cooler.

I had a very bad experience with a reference 670, I had to put an after market cooler on it in the end, it made the most irritating noise. Installed the 1080 FE and in general it is as quiet as my 970 G1 was.

I would still be interested in a corsair hybrid cooler though if anyone could point in the right direction please?

Can easy hit 2100 but I found there is not much gains after 1900MHz. Very fast card, if you have a Ti already it is pretty close, however the 1080 does it with a lot less power!

So why is it taking so long for the aftermarket cooler cards to arrive? I've been in the EVGA queue for step up for two weeks now :/ I'm dying to try out the new card!
