Dirty naked die shot, pure filth.

The heatsink looks a bit like what I had for my Duron 750 about 15 years ago, a basic aluminium slab. Couldn't they have put a couple of heatpipes in there, it looks like there's plenty of room?

comes back to cost again, but it should run fine with it, those reported 70c temps were when it was running a burn-test rather than normal gaming.

Presumably it will be a vapor chamber? Looks pretty meager, which suggests to me the card TDP will have to be sub 150W.

Reminds me a lot of the reference 7950 coolers, which were actually ok for the power output.

470 is only $50 cheaper than the $199 480, I think it will be at stock or just below 970 performance. 960/380 is way to low.

Where is that AMD slide with 6.3 written on it? 6.3 is lower than a 970.

Here's the issue:

comparative performance results:

I have a 390x and am downloading the steamvr bench now. I'll post my results but I got a feeling I'm going to get much more than 6.3.

No vapour chamber, just a stock slab of metal cooler. the part is supposed to pull around 100-110 under normal gaming.

Probably "Sapphire Italy" again.

Well, adding a bit of fuel to the fire, and if you're talking about this...

...I contacted Sapphire thru their official FB page (linked from their global website), and this is the reply i got:

Take that as you like, but for me, this pretty much confirms the 1500+ OC capability. Wonder if it's on air, though.
