Just out of interest did you wipe the hard drive and re-install or do it through the Windows reset/refresh in the settings section?

I did it via the reset/refresh options....which made me doubly sceptical it would work. But it did...

Thanks, this is the first time I'll be going from an nvidia to an amd in the same system, previously a new gpu went with a new build so I've never had to think about this. Now if that Nitro can hurry up pls

The RX 480 i put in a friends rig is running undervolted at 1.075v at stock clocks, with the memory voltage also undervolted at 0.9v. It runs at around 75-78c under sustained heavy load with about 70% fan speed maximum (3,000 RPM). The default voltage was 1.150v which indicates it was a high leakage chip, unfortunately i forgot to check the exact Asic rating before i finished building his system.

All 4 of my RX 480s are excellent overclockers on stock volts but I don't think I will be undervolting mine.

EKWB ordered. Hopefully it won't take too long to get here. Will post my results but don't actually expect much because I think I lost the silicon lottery! Haven't won that since my AMD Thunderbird AXIA core clocking at 1.6ghz lol.

I'm curious, what are your system specs.

I have an i540/HD6850, so I thought an RX480 would be bottle necked so was waiting for when I can make a new system.
