Oh yeah, well worth the wait for a Zotac Amp Extreme version..

Still to test it fully, but the quality of the build is by far the best I have experienced for a graphics card..

I've already said a few times my own personal money would also go on the Zotac Extreme, I personally feel its the best 1080 and 1070 on the market.

What is your boost clock out the box and you max overclock?

Boost clock was 2100 straight out the box, not overclocked it. Been with a card for a few weeks and just rying it out running Doom ARMA 3 etc..

Pondering a jump from the 970... The thing is, where I live, it's basically a little over 50% performance for over 50% more lolly I'll get for my card. Not the best deal ever but I can probably afford it without selling any internal organs after I flog the 970.

But would you personally go for it? Or would you wait? The 970 still offers very playable framerates at 1440p in the vast majority of games. The upgrade itch is strong at this point but I really hoped the 1070 would be just a tad cheaper.

Just did quick Unigine test and its clear difference from 970,will do some gaming now,but the difference is clear,1070 probably twice as fast as 970

The picture cant show how big this card really is,i had 970 Strix and it was big,but this thing is massive.And its better quality than Asus i can say.Max temp i saw so far was 58C

I was gonna buy this card, but this in sli would have swallowed up my whole motherboard with no spare slots for my other components, its that wide and big

Yup, the card is huge. Just clears the 120mm fans on the bottoms of my case. Luckily I have a silverstone case, which the m/board is turned around so the card is vertical rather than horizontal or I am sure there would be card sag.

I'm no tweaker, but I did note someone over on NeoGAF picked up the EVGA SC that I've got on its way to me.

They managed to get its score up to hit this.

Nice score! Managed a little higher GPU score with my Gaming X 1070

having seen some 1080s doing just over 22k I'm pretty happy with 21750!

It doesn't matter, all cards can hit or surpass that, it's just about silicon lottery.
