Completely disagree with this comment. The Super Jetstream looks really good in a windowed case whereas the zotac can look awful because of the yellow on the the back plate and the fact that the card sags because of the weight.

If you have a yellow themed case then the zotac will look ok.

How long is the Zotac Amp Extreme? I'm trying to find a 1070 that will squeeze in to a Silverstone SG05 Mini ITX case.

Never heard mine revving. Fan doesn't turn on until 60 degrees by default, mind.

Actually getting great results with my Strix now. (Is it pronouced 'Strikes' or 'Stricks' ?)

Nice and stable, although the boost does vary quite a bit. Just left the Tomb Raider Bench running with maximum possible settings and still only 63 max with a fan adjustment. Hav to say, the cooler really does do it's job. Maybe I was wrong about the heat pipes not touching being an issue.

EDIT: I actually downloaded the FFXIV benchmark, set my card to 4K DSR, and looped through that bench on maximum settings for 45 mins. Card is stable. I had to decrease my boost clock by 10Mhz, and voltage by 10 to get that though (which is fine by me!)

Went with the MSI 1070 in the end should be arriving today, you guys using latest official drivers? working well? anyone tried DA3 on a 1070 at 1440p here too?

Trust me it is there. Every 1070 AMP Extreme has it.

Only way you will hear it is if you lower your case fans as they are likely set on high which masks the noise. Even easier would be to just turn on GPU-Z and run Heaven or something.

Does not matter if you do not hear it, but it is happening and it is good to be aware at least. As you say, it is only an issue when gaming, as fans are off otherwise anyway. My case fans are set very low so I heard it instantly and it was very annoying for a few days until I installed afterburner and made a custom curve

Just picked up the KFA2 GeForce GTX 1070 "Reference Blower" on offer at £359.99.

Was too excited to get up and running, so no proper pic yet. Will take a better picture with username when I get a chance.

As I haven't really seen much info on this card, I thought I would jot down some initial impressions for those that might be interested:

Initial impressions, I have to say, weren't terrific. Whilst I appreciate that this is a "budget" card, at £360 it is still an expensive bit of kit. Taking it out the box, it feels very light and plastic with no back plate. Solidly enough built, but a bit less substantial than I would hope for the price. I have a gaming PC in an HTPC case, so size and a blower design were top priority and this fits nicely.

Few issues initially which I will post up some questions about here , but up and running and impressions are a lot more positive.

Running through a 1080p Sony TV, holds 60FPS with everything absolutely maxed in every game I have tried so far.

Not had time to do any proper testing, but runs surprisingly quietly and cool given the somewhat poor looking cooler. Even pushing it, is barely audible and certainly not above my CPU/Case Fans. In my quick checks, never seems to go above about 60c either.

Overall, very happy, despite some initial reservations.

Turned on PC to be greated with lines of garbage across my screen :-(

Reset PC and all is OK. Hopefully not a sign of things to come.

Got mine today, not tried much of it due to work, max temp during witcher 3 was 56c so cooler is very good and certainly an improvement over my 970 performance wise game seemed a lot smoother,(about 20-30fps more too)

Also was only a tiny bit bigger than my 970.

Overclock it a little as well :-)

Amazing cards really, for the little power they draw and the temps. Obviously I wish it had been cheaper, but such is life.

Loving mine so far.
