What watch do you wear?

Is that a new old strap, or new distressed? Like the look of it. Also, what's the 41- about?

it's a new strap in vintage design

the "41" is a bit unclear, it appeared on pieces fro the era that the 372 tries to recreate (some have 74 on) some have suggested it is to do with the navy battalions they were issued to

Which watch is that?

After seeing a few of these in here I thought it was time to get my first automatic:

Seiko SARB065 (Cocktail time).

I've got a burgundy hirsch coming shortly to go on it so will get some better photos then :)

For reference it actually looks silver in most lights, just has hints of blue popping as the lights catch it.

I ordered a new strap for it and finally fitted it yesterday; though I like the patent black with blue stitching that it comes with and it looks amazing with a suit, I wanted something less, well, shiny, to dress it down a little.

Burgundy Hirsch Duke with the Seiko deployment clasp swapped over:

As a side note, a few weeks in and still absolutely loving the watch. Definitely want more watches now....

Seiko SARB065 Cocktail time :) still need to find somewhere to send it to be serviced after dropping it :(

Cheers guys, as I posted before it looks like my Bremont has the same bent pin issue as it had at a few weeks old. My lodger also has a Bremont, albeit a different model, with the exact same issue. I think I'll contact the retailer and see what they say, then get in touch with Bremont themselves.

Doesn't your Bremont have an exposed crown without crown guards? I am wondering if you are knocking it on something or even just catching as you put a jacket on?

Pretty much across the board increases on Rolex yesterday, circa 9-12%. Apparently Brietling too a few weeks ago.

Hmm interesting, wonder if that will affect Tudor also.

I'll be in London in a couple of weeks for a weekend so will go to a showroom and make my mind up. Such a shame I can't get 0% finance as a non-UK resident. :(

tudor not adjusting apparently

Personally I think the Cocktail time is VERY good value for money. It really does stand out and I have seen them for under £300 quite lot. Bought my dad one for his birthday, he loved it.

I've been putting off getting my DateJust serviced, really hard to justify the cost at the moment, but looks like they've done a solid job, shiny!

I had my memovox serviced a while back and it is lovely to see it as new.

Through JLC, or are there independents that can do the job too? Part of what puts me off JLC over Rolex is what I've heard about the enormous cost JLC charge for servicing, whilst there are lots of independents out there for Rolex when you don't want to get Rolex themselves to do the job (like when they decide to redial a nicely patinated piece!).
