Thanks for that.

I have ordered one already.

It is replacing a standard 780ti, so quiet and cool shouldn't be a problem.

I figured that if I decide to go Sli at some point in the future, getting hold of another FE should be easier since all the FE's are the same across the brands.

Should be a good performance increase going from a 780 Ti to the 1080.

It is actually replacing a 780Ti Sli setup, but I could do without the hassle of Sli to be honest.

Also, I game at 2560x1600, so hopefully the extra VRAM will help.

In some games you will definitely notice the difference the extra VRAM makes, in smoother gameplay and better performance @1600p.

Broswing the EVGA forums for the new bios update for the 1080's, Even though mine doesn't need it, I noticed a different 1080 Classified, The EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 CLASSIFIED DT ACX 3.0.

Anyone got a clue what this DT stands for ?

All i can say is WOW what a card
Running on gpu tweak II
1904 + 170 Core
memory 11,000 + 990
Fans 48% temps haven't gone over 68c .

Nice, which model did you get? I've got one sitting here in it's box still (the "Advanced Gaming" one that has been on offer here) that i picked up on monday (once again i forgot to pick up my free haribo off of the counter :mad:

). Hope to get it installed later today but i want to get the 2 games claimed first and also probably need a quick clean up,it's not been done for a few months.

I'm looking forward to some G-sync gaming again, having been stuck back on my trusty old ATI HD5850 for the last few months after my 780 bit the dust.

Dont usually post in these but just built my first water cooled setup with a 1080 at the heart of it

my new Evga FTW HYDRO COPPER -

happy days, the card runs at a constant 2025 core without me ocing it and runs very cool now under a full loop.

32 idle 44 under battlefield 1 for a couple of hours.

I came from 980 Sli to 1080 SLi, and it was not worth it, lol, god knows what 980 Ti owners feel like

I did it knowing I wouldn't see much gain, and am happy I knew that before I dropped £1.2k on them
