The Freesync range is definitely monitor controlled rather than drivers. Mine is 45-160 (AOC C3583FQ). Though that monitor is not actually branded as being "Freesync", but just activesync (same thing).

But yea, theres quite a clear gap between the 1060 and 480 now, especially in dx12. The 480 is running away with it.

Well the 1060 is still slightly ahead in dx11 1080p, which is likely the most common combo atm. Will be interesting if the 480 can overtake in dx11 fully, will be the final nail in the coffin for sure

Only 2 weeks until I get to play with mine! I've only briefly ran Firestrike on it before it had to go back in its box. Can't wait!

@amdmatt
What is going on with the hdmi freesync support for the rx480? workes fine in 16.9.2 but borks out on every single release since.. including relive.

quick dirty edit here: Ive tested a bit on a r9 290 and it seems freesync is broken there as well which leads me to believe there is something wrong with the monitor as ive seen plenty report about samsung monitors having freesync issues over hdmi and RMAing them has lead to working samples. Ive already talked to Asus(my monitor is an asus vg245h) about this and they of course claim its an amd driver issue, lol go figure.

Lower the voltage and it runs even cooler :)

Probably, temp wise it does depend on game or benchmark test you use, so far my temps go in gaming from 50c to 63c max depending on game etc, fans at default 0 RPM at 60c. I have pretty good case cooling ie 3x 140mm fans and 120mm.

Grabbed a XFX GTR (non black) just before the relive drivers were released

Currently running with 1400/2100mhz, @ 1150v, temps stay around the low to mid 60s while gaming.

gonna see how far i can push it with maybe 1.25-1.3v

Got my card installed today and I've noticed that when I have both monitors connected (one DVI, one HDMI), the memory clock is stuck at 2GHz and my idle temps are around 50ºc. From what I've read it's normal.

I'd like to set a custom fan profile but can't find a suitable option in Wattman. I have the min/target settings, but I'd like to set the fan speed at a given temperature.

What are other people using for fan control?
