The screenshots look amazing, this and SMB X which came out the other day mean my older gaming days can be relived \m/

Agree. There was a thread about it on ocuk few weeks ago and I downloaded the game. It is awesome and looks much better than shown in the youtube video.

Looks nice. In gameplay though there is a bit too much going on

Something doesnt feel right. In original sonic 2, the chemical plant level had lots going on but it didnt distract you from actually playing the game. This HD remake is distracting

Wait what, Sonic 2 HD isn't out yet so how can it be distracting?. The screen above is from another version

Agree with this but you're talking about Sonic Remix, not Sonic2 HD. I tried Sonic Remix and agree. HD looks better. (gameplay wise)
 
Had a quick play through the Sonic Remix one and it's a nice attempt and although I don't want to take anything awqay from the makers, I still prfer the original.

Having played both (got Sonic HD on the 360), I can honestly say the fan remake is FAR FAR better.

They should sack the Sonic HD guys and hire the fan's to make the next one.

Sonic HD is very... meh :(
 
The two above are indie homebrew remakes on PC, with nothing to do with Sega or the recent "HD" Sonic 4, seeing as Sega have abandoned PC Sonic fans :(

Personally, I think there was too much going on in the Sonic Remix demo, too fussy. Looks amazing, don't get me wrong. The Sonic 2 HD above looks a lot cleaner, and closer the original. My likes
 
Ah sorry my mistake, didn't see it was Sonic 2... will have to grab it and have a looksee :o
