Morrowind 2011

Correct me if im wrong but all i see are some nice lighting and water effects and some higher res textures, mods for all these already exist.....

But show me some screen shots its the only way to see the changes properly. A low res video is useless.

just re-read the article its a collection of mods for those you cant handle more than one click
 
Downloaded this last night and can't wait to get stuck in :D.

I'll be seeding the torrent over the next few days as the speeds were shockingly poor last night.
 
I always found Morrowind much more engrossing than Oblivion to be honest. If they could bring MW up to the graphical standards of some of the modded Oblivion stuff then I'd love to play it again. Oblivion just didn't have the same feel to it for some reason. :(

I'm already quite a way through this but I think it's worth restarting with this beauty. Morrowind, the best sword and sorcery rpg I have ever played.

Looks amazing given its age (those shots look way better than the video too). Always preferred the story/environment to that of Oblivion - although I prefer the combat system of Oblivion by a mile.

I remember the first time I ever went to Ald'ruhn and there was a dust storm going on.. I was cacking it thinking something was going to happen (amazing stuff).... then one of those annoying Cliff Racers attacked me... Grrr!
 
Oooh.... lovely!

One of my favourite ever games. I lost myself in this to a quite unhealthy extent first time around. Had just got back from travelling, was living with my parents again, was a couple of months before I found a job... this game kept me sane!

Will have buy MW again and try this out.

Also makes me want a similar update for Deus Ex (not counting that one that's been in development for years and never seems to be finished...)

Still think Morrowind looked and played excellently. Ran very smooth even on release. More engaging than Oblivion I think, and I feel easier/more fluid to do battle on. Good to see there are updates.
 
Interesting... I actually downloaded this last night and was going to try it today, but have been caught up in other things.

How does it run? It looks incredible considering the age of the game, I just hope the engine isn't holding performance back too much..
 
Excellent stuff - I was just looking last week for Morrowing mods as (gasp) I have never played it. I played Oblivion for a long time so I was looking to get into Morrowind and give it a good run through before Skyrim comes out.
 
So tempting to hunt down my discs and give it a whirl again. But I've already got Dragon Age & The Witcher to get through, argh! RPG overload :(.
